*A/N at end of chapter*
As I walked towards the chariots I could feel Peeta staring, which made me immediately uncomfortable. All of a sudden, he quickly nodded at me before turning back to face forward. His cheeks were red, which made me even surer. Why was the boy who wanted to kill me - who was also sixteen - looking at me like that? Peeta, for one, was decked out in a similar outfit to mine, only male and lacking a cape. Cinna suddenly smiled at me. "You're ready to go," he said proudly. "You'll do great." I stepped up on the chariot, feeling the wheels squeak with the combined weight of Peeta and I. Peeta froze, matching my worried glance.
Suddenly the chariot started moving forward. My cape caught on fire, and I felt the combined gazes of millions of people as Peeta and I followed the rest of the tributes in a long line. A rose fell at my feet. I bent to pick it up, my cape bunching at my neck, but suddenly heard a scream. The chariot wheel had fallen off! Peeta and I were through forward into the crowd, my cape covered my head. It was hot, too hot, and as I felt for the fabric my hand hit the top of the chariot, which had fallen on top of us. I tried to shake off the flames, screaming, hearing the crowds similar shrieks, and hoping that somehow Peeta will survive. Maybe - and it was too much. Blackness surrounded me with my broken bones and cracked familial relations. With hope, I looked to the light.A/N
Hey guys, I know that this chapter was probably very confusing for you so here's the explanation. I have been increasingly busy lately and updating two books at once grew to be too difficult. Because of this I decided to continue with the book that I believe is the best written. I will continue to write Raise Hell and Let it Burn but this book is finished. One of my friends, cantforgettobelieve offered to write the closing chapter for this book because I decided to just end it. I'm sorry if you are disappointed, I am too. I hope you guys enjoyed this book and please go check out cantforgettobelieve and my other book. Bye!
