"But he's an asshole," I tell Julie, who is endlessly in love with the new guy.

"Did you see his blue eyes?"

"Yes, I saw them. They are not special, here, Charles and Paul, they both have blue eyes." I point them.

"Okay, so you just compared Lucas with those two?" she seems annoyed.

"No, I didn't compare them, I was saying that it's not strange to see a boy with blue eyes." I don't like her attitude when she's defending someone only because he is cute.

"C'mon Lea, tell me, one boy, you really think is cute here in our high school." "Apart from your dear Aiden."

"It's not hard. Glenn O'Brien is pretty cute"

"Really? Glenn O'Brien? What kind of name is that? If you want to lie telling me a fake name, at least invent a realistic one."

I got caught.

"Well, you know that I only have eyes for him."

Suddenly I see Aiden passing behind me, and I start to sweat.

"And with him I mean Lucas. He's so gorgeous..." I lie. I can't lie harder.

"What?" she asks puzzled.

I swallow, watching him sit in his desk.

"I was trying not to tell in front of Aiden that I like him," I whisper to her.

"He. Is. Coming." Julie says, tense.

"Lucas?" I say without a care.

She nods, brushing her hair with her bare hands.

"Oh c'mon." I roll my eyes, snorting.

When Julie falls in love, prepare for a III World War. She can literally knock you off If you try to interfere.

"Hi, Lucas" she greets him cheerfully.

He puts his bag on the desk and takes a sit.

"Hi... I don't know your name..." he answers.

"I'm Julie." She smiles at him.

"Okay." He ends the conversation.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to not punch someone on the face. What the hell? Really? I'm stuttered.

I said "hi" to him one hour ago and he didn't answer me, not even a nod.

Now my best friend does the same and she does receive a reply?

That's kinda unfair, don't you think?

It's me or is just that he only responds to pretty girls?

UGH.

I breathe deeply, calming myself.

"I think your friend needs help. She looks kinda bad." He says, talking about me.

"You are the one who looks kinda bad," I say irritated.

Does he think that he's superior?

My fist is already prepared for someone's face.

"Lea, don't be like that," Julie argues with me.

"Like what?" "He started" I defend myself.

"I think you should be kinder to your new classmates." I hear a soft voice behind me.

I TURN AROUND AND I SAW HIM.

AIDEN.

KEEPING MY BACK.

"And I think you should get off here." Lucas attacks. "It's none of your business"

"Hey, I don't want to be rude, but yeah, you are being lame," I tell him, bothered.

"And...? You are going to do something about it?" He says.

"C'mon Julie, let's get out of here." I take her arm.

"But... we are talking."

"Okay. Whatever."

I go to the hall and I start to hit the wall with my feet, why is he so frustrating?

I just can't see that dude anymore.

Without time for thinking, I feel that smell of the ocean in the school hall.

"Are you okay?" Shawn asks me, worried.

"I really hate him, and I don't even know him much." I sit down on the floor.

"Same" And he takes a place beside.

"You've cut your hair?"

I am shocked.

How does he know?

I only have cut like two fingers.

"Yeah, last Friday."

There is silence.

Awkward.

"Well, it suits you perfectly." "But I have to go to my swimming classes," I notice his hand above mine. "See you tomorrow."

"O-okay, bye."

WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED.
