I knock on the door with my bare left hand.
The music stops.
I feel guilty about it.
Without thinking it twice, I come in, finding a shadow with its fingers closing the piano.

"No please, keep playing," I beg.

I'm not insane, I know who is.

But I'm too tired to be nasty with him, I just want to hear that song again.

I start to walk toward him, trying to show that I'm here in a sign of peace.

I feel his deep breath, and his hands touching the white instrument.

"Can I sit here?" I ask him, taking a chair, and putting it beside him.

He nods.

The light is off and we can hardly see each other face.

"You can't sleep right?" He says.

"Yeah... you either?" I replay.

"I play the piano when I'm awake."

Lucas is really strange, he surprises me every time.

"What happened to your parents?" I'm curious why he has to be adopted.

"My parents are fine, remember? I'm here for a school exchange project, I'm from Finland."

Oh.

That's why he has that rare accent.

I don't say anything more, so he starts playing again.

I can hear his heart, racing fast while his hands are producing a beautiful melody of a beautiful song.

My mind keeps thinking about how a person can become this calm and nice from day to night.

"It's stunning" I say when he finishes.

"That's a compliment? Odd to hear it from your mouth." He shows a smirk.

"Hey sorry for the bad words of the other day... but you really stress me out."

His blue eyes gaze at me.

Omg, that type of blue can't be real.

"Mea culpa."

This time he's really apologizing.

I hesitate.

I observe him standing up and grabbing me by the arm.

"What... where are we going?" I'm bewildered.

He guides me to a very large wood stair.
I'm a bit worried it will get broken If he's suggesting to go up.

"C'mon, follow me." He starts to go up.

"O-okay..." I mumble.
