It's my turn.

I have memorized some phrases I can say during my explanation.

An explanation that is super short.

"Lea, come here." Mrs. Moustache orders me.

I breathe deeply.

But my hands still shaking like there's no tomorrow.

I take my cardboard with me, watching it as I put myself in front of all the class.

Some are talking, some are unfathomable in their own world.

Damn it.

I can not love this class more than I do.

I am aware that Julie is observing me.

I smile at her.

She does the same, trying to send me good vibes.

"What country have you chosen Lea?" The teacher tries to see my cardboard.

"Canada." I utter.

"Bien, commence s'il vous plait." She pronounces in French.

I turn my head toward the crowd.

"C'est Canada. J'ai choisix Canada parce que pour moi Il est trés belle..."

My French is terrible, and I know I've made some mistakes.

Ugh.

And I finally finish.

I was so nervous that my stomach was literally trembling.

But, it passed.

It passed.

"C'est très bien Lea, très bien" She says.

I grin, satisfied.

I walk toward my desk, passing by Aiden.

Without expecting it, I see him turning his head to me.

"Perfect," He tells me with French accent.

I let a little laugh go out of my mouth.

I've done it terribly bad.

Why does he say that?

...

The ring bells.

"Let's go to the canteen." I tell Julie as we walk out the class.

I hold my books against my chest.

Lucas is there, laying his back on the corridor wall.

Looking directly at me.

We get closer.

"I have to tell you something." He says, taking my books and grabbing my free hand as we get out of there.
