I left Aiden behind, running directly toward my house.

The bag weighs too much, and my back starts to hurt, but I can almost see my grandmother standing out, with some people beside her and a car parked on the road.

I wave at my grandma.

She waves back.

I finally arrive.

"Grannie," I call her.

"My sweetie." She holds my face.

I gaze around.

Two big men, wearing nurse uniforms are waiting near us.

The woman of this morning is here too.

"Hello, Eleanor." She says.

I ignore her.

"It's okay grannie. Everything will be okay." I whisper, hugging her.

Our last hug.

"Where do they send me?" My grandma asks.

I can't explain.

"You're going to a beautiful place. They will take care of you there." The woman smiles.

I really want to slap her right now.

A beautiful place?

Lies.

"Oh. That's nice." She grins.

"Grandma, I love you." I see her moving to the car.

"I love you too my darling." She kisses me on the cheek.

I can't leave her.

Not like this.

I catch her hand.

"Don't go, please." I cry out.

"Eleanor, let her go. We haven't got time." Mrs. Fake says impatiently.

"I don't give a fuck," I answer.

I focus on my grannie.

"Thank you," I tell her out loud.

I had to.

"For what?"

"For being my grandmother. I'm so lucky, I didn't know before."

"I'm the lucky here." I see one single tear coming from her.

"No, don't cry," I beg her.

"How can I not? You are crying."

"C'mon, I have to take you to your new house, Eleanor." The woman says again.

I observe my grandmother sitting in the car.

"I don't want to be alone," I say to her.

"You're not alone sweetheart. You have me, always." She declares.

"I know, but it's not going to be the same..."

"We'll be together, even If it's not physically."

I sob while she holds me in her chest.

"Lea. Look at me."

I do what she tells me.

"Remember what I'm going to tell you, okay?"

I nod.

"Follow your mind." She points it. "But always follow your heart first."

I think it deeply.

"Be conscious of what you're doing, but don't let the fear of risk be the one who stops you."

"We're moving, please close the door." The man says.

I close the door.

But she opens the window.

"You're the one, the treasure of my life. I won't forget you." I tell her.

"I won't let you to. My little girl... please be safe."

"Bye..." I sob.

"Let say see you later."

I nod.

I see the car moving.

And I fall onto my knees.

...

"Eleanor, pack the things you think you'll need tonight. Tomorrow someone will come for the rest." Mrs. Lies says.

I don't answer.

I got upstairs, toward my room.

I take my luggage and start to put everything inside.

Books.

Clothes.

Shoes.

Am I really moving with a foreign family?

I grew up here.

There are too many memories.

I don't want to lose them.

"Eleanor, got them already?" I hear from the living room.

Is she going to shut up?

I go to the bathroom.

And without noticing, I see myself in the mirror.

Honestly.

I look.

Horribly bad.
