"Lea, you've been awful with Lucas." Julie comments.

We're in the third period, going straight to P.E class.

"I understand that you're in love with him and that you'll defend him, but I'm your friend, Julie, can you try to see that he's a rude boy?" I attempt to convince her.

"I know that he's a bit proud of himself, but that's all."

"Oh, c'mon. And that's ALL?" I roll my eyes, disgusted.

We go into the basketball field, join our classmates and the teacher.

I changed my skinny trousers and I put my sports clothes.

"Well, today we're going to do a competition of basketball between four different teams." The teacher tells us.

Okay, why not.

Basketball.

One of the worst sports I am at.

"The teams are going to be chosen by one captain for each one." "Volunteers?"

I look around.

Aiden volunteered.

Julie volunteered.

Lucas volunteered.

And Michel volunteered.

I'm sure that Julie is going to choose me.

She knows that I'm bad at basketball, but I am her best friend, she CAN'T LEAVE ALONE.

"Okay." "Julie, choose a girl and a boy." He says.

She looks at me and I read "I'm sorry" on her lips.

WHAT?

"I choose Mary and Charles," Julie says firmly.

My heart receives a terrible hit at the bottom.

Thanks, Julie.

I love you too.

"Your turn Aiden." Mr. Maguire says.

He frowns.

"I choose Paul and Lucy."

This GAME is going to be called "Let's see when Eleanor will be chosen."

Second round, there are still a lot of people to choose from.

"I choose Princess and Jeremy." Julie proclaims.

IS SHE DOING THIS BECAUSE OF FUN?

BECAUSE I INSULTED HER DEAR LUCAS?

UGH, I'M MAD WITH HER RIGHT NOW.

"I choose Ian and Eleanor." THAT SOFT VOICE.

I lift my head up.

Aiden chose me.

ME.
