"Jade I'm sorry," I pleaded as I sat on her bed. "I'm a bitch now I get it but please don't be mad at me you're all I have."
"What? You have your precious Mikey, Daff stop trying to act so innocent. It's better off you spend time with him and 'unfriend' me cause ditching me behind my back then telling me like 2 weeks later I'm sick of it."
I looked down in shame.
"Well I'm breaking up with Michael."
She looked up confused and surprised, "Wait what? Why?"
"Cause it's breaking our friendship and I'm not being me!" I frowned burying my face in my knees.
She was silent then spoke, "Just tell him the truth."
"I can't." I stuttered, "He's fallen too hard.." I trailed off as her eyes widened.
"Did he.."
"Did he say...."
"Did he say the "L" word to you?"
I nodded slowly chuckling to myself that she still had an inner childhood. She gave me a sympathetic look. The anger drained from her face as I could only let out a breath of relief.
"You're really in some deep shit aren't you Daff? Or should I say Daphne?"
I sighed banging my head on the nearest wall I could find.
"I want the ground to just swallow me up," I mumbled, "I wish I can go back and turn everything back to the way it was."
"Well," Jade started, "the past is the past. Now you think about the future. And you think about what you're gonna say to Michael."
I looked down in pure thought.
"Im gonna go home if you don't mind." I stuttered. She nodded and led me to the door waving goodbye.
"And remember!" she called out to me, "fries before guys!"
I chuckled thinking of our childhood memory as I pulled out of her driveway and down the street.
Maybe if I thought this over it wouldn't be THAT bad would it?

"You're dismissed." the teacher spoke as I looked across the room and spotted Michael across the room close his book and grab his belongings.
"Test is next Thursday!" the teacher yelled as the students exited the classroom.
I watched Michael through a piece of my hair. He spotted me and smiled softly then walked over. I narrowed my eyes as he held a small smirk then it disappeared.
"Hey-"
Michael was cut off as the teacher told us to "take it out of the classroom".
We gave her confused looks then exited the classroom. Michael grabbed my hand as he led me down a few halls then we settled in a small classroom.
He closed the door as I only watched silently. He closed the blinds and made sure nothing could be seen from the glass through the doors.
"Relax," he chuckled, "you've never been serenaded?"
He pulled out a guitar then sat in front of me as he looked over at the window that was covered with blinds. We watched as the day grew cloudy and suddenly the classroom was so dark that I could see his structure.
"You could push your hair back now." he whispered.
I didn't move.
He started strumming.
