Chapter 2

- Jay -

I sat down in my usual seat and Nathan sat in the empty seat next to me, not many people liked me and the other boys at this school but it didn't bother us, that was why the seat next to me was always empty and I am glad that at least Nathan was in this class so I could have someone to talk to, He seemed like a great guy and I could already tell that we are going to be good friends.

Our science teacher - Mr. Simpkins - started taking the register and when he got to Nathan's name he stopped and looked in the direction of where his reply of 'Yes, Sir' came from.

"Oh, we have a new student, welcome Nathan" Mr. Simpkins said before continuing to take the register. A few heads turned to look at us for a few seconds before turning to look at the front when Mr. Simpkins had finished taking the register and started teaching the lesson.

Nathan wrote his full name on the front of the book 'Nathan Sykes' and then he wrote 'Science' underneath. He then opened the book and wrote the date and started making a few notes of what Mr. Simpkins was saying. When he had finished speaking, Mr. Simpkins handed out a double sided worksheet - one between two - which we had to complete, we had laptops which was also one between two on our desks for research if we needed it.

Q1) Which Part of the eye controls how much light is let into the eye?

I sighed. This is going to be a fun lesson. Learning about the eye! Yay! This was going to help us so much later on in life. Not. I heard Nathan chuckle from beside me and I turned to look at him, almost forgetting he was sat next to me.

"What?" I asked, he just shook his head.

"I was laughing at your expression" He told me.

"Was It that funny?" I asked and he nodded, his chuckles had now turned into laughter and I soon joined him by laughing with him. After a few minutes we had stopped laughing and we decided to get on with the work. 

We had finished the sheet and we had 5 minutes until the bell rang, signalling that it was the end of lesson and it was now break. During the lesson I got to know a bit more about him; his musical heroes are Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men and John Legend, He doesn't like exposed heights, his favourite food is spaghetti bolognaise and Chinese and that he moved from Gloucester and his birthday is 18th of April.

The bell rang and everyone rushed out of the classroom except me and Nathan. We put our books in our bag and cleared our desks and we walked out of the room, side by side. We walked up to Tom - he was stood near the door with his back to us - I looked to Nathan and grinned and he grinned back.

We quietly walked up behind him and decided to scare him, I pushed him from behind and Tom screamed and fell on the floor. Me and Nathan looked at eachother and burst out laughing, holding our stomachs and tears running down our faces from so much laughter.

Tom was on the floor sending us both daggers, when we had stopped laughing we helped him up and he went off in mood saying he wasn't going to talk to us again. I laughed and I started walking to the canteen with Nathan walking next to me. We were both silent but to busy with our own thoughts to care or even start a conversation. At least it wasn't an awkward silence.

When we got to the canteen, I saw that Tom was already sat at our usual table with the other boys; Max and Siva. I waved and said hello and introduced Nathan to the boys.

"Boys this Is Nathan, Nathan This is Max" I said pointing to Max. "And Siva" I told Nathan and pointing to Siva. I sat down and Nathan sat next to me, looking down at the table awkwardly due to Max and Siva looking at him, smiling.

"So is this the Nathan that Tom hasn't shut up about since he found out you was going to live with him?" Max questioned looking at Nath and then to Tom. Tom went bright red and mumbled a shut up whilst looking down at the table. Nathan had looked up from the table and joined us all by looking at Tom with raised eye brows and smirks on our faces. 

"Yeah I guess I am, I'm the only Nathan that is living with him" Nathan said and then shrugged his shoulders. Me, Max and Seev all chuckled but Tom was still looking at the table, Probably still in a sulk. 

The bell had rang and everyone made their way to their next lesson, we all laughed at Tom, who couldn't seem to get away from us fast enough, he jumped up from his seat and walked - more like ran - to his next lesson which was Music, that we all had together so he couldn't get rid of us that easily.

Nathan also had music with us next, that was good all 5 of us together.Max and Seev walked in front of us whilst me and Nathan walked behind them, talking about everything that just came to mind, even if it was the most random thing we still said it. I could already tell that me and Nathan would be best of friends.

A/N: First I want to say thank you so much for over 100 reads.. I know there are other authors on here that have over a thousand, or even a million reads but I never expected to get 50 nevermind 100!! and also thanks for the votes and comments, It means alot :3 

Now that is over with, did you guys like this chapter, again I feel as if it was rushed but maybe that's just me... The chapters will be in Nathan's P.O.V but maybe from time to time it will be in Jay's, oh and I know that the boys are not the same age but in this tory they are all 15/16 and in year 11 and starting their GCSE's.
