Chapter 21

~ Nathan.

My life felt complete now Jay was somewhat mine - Yeah that may sound a little possessive calling him 'mine' but if we was boyfriends per say then technically he would be mine - We've kissed a few times, that surely has to count for something right?

We were sat on the sofa, cuddling. Our legs were tangled together, my head was on his chest. His arms were wrapped around my waist and his hands rested on my stomach. We were watching a movie, I didn't know which movie because all I could concentrate on was this beautiful boy right next to me, I knew we were watching a comedy as I would hear Jay's melodic laugh every once in a while.

It turned out we was watching '21 Jump Street'. A film that I had only seen once before with my sister but I couldn't remember the plot. I decided I may as well watch the film instead of being a creep and keep staring at Jay.

We were stood behind the bike sheds on the school grounds. Near where the 'Cool Kids' smoke. Jay told me that he had something important to tell me, we had been stood here for ten minutes now and Jy has yet to speak a word. He was just looking down at his arms and awkwardly swaying back and forth.

"Nathan" he spoke, finally breaking the silence and looking at me.

"Yes?"

"Well you know like on Saturday......... How we both kissed and we said we had been waiting for that for a while?" He started to ramble, his face going even more red by the second.

"Yeah" where was he going with this?

"What about it?" I asked.

"Well I was wondering if you'd go on a date with me?"

"Well I was wondering if you'd go on a date with me?" I asked.

My heart was beating faster than the 72 beat per minute that it should be. My palms were sweaty and I dreaded hearing that two letter word come out of Nathan's mouth.

'No' I couldn't handle it if he said that, it would humiliate me and also break me.

Why was he taking so long to answer? It was only a yes or no question. It wasn't too hard to answer. Oh god, what if he doesn't want to go on a date with me? And he is taking too long to answer because he is trying to find the nicest way to say that he doesn't like me in that way and doesn't want to go on a date.

"Yes" what?

"Yes I'll go on a date with you"

Sorry this is so short I've had a ton of homework and also I have a Gcse English exam on the 16th of October so I've had lots of homework from my English teacher to prepare for that, so I know I took a while to update and I'm really sorry for that. Also I'll probably be updating once a week from now because of school and gcses starting. The jaythan date is in the next chapter and I'll try and make it longer for you guys.
