Chapter 8- Cliff or Gray?

Chapter 8

Pov Claire

Ok so me and Max were playing together and I realized I haven't seen Cliff in a while so I thought I'd take Max for a walk with the pretty red leash Zack left me with. Me and Max walked past the Blacksmith, and Gray wasn't there. I didn't want to worry about him so I kept on walking until I passed the town square and ended stopping at the church. Max wasnt aloud in so I left him hooked on a tree and then went in. Inside I saw Carter and Cliff. Carter was the man who ran the church. I always forget with they call those people.....I think they call them a priest or a pastor. But I don't know. But I walk in seeing Ciff looking sad as ever. Then Carter comes over to tell me something as I walk in. He tells me that he wants me to talk to Cliff and become friends with him. I wonder why.... Well anyways I go over to Cliff who is sitting on the corner of a church bench in front, I said
"Hi Cliff, whats wrong?"
I then sit down, He doesn't answer.
"Cliff whats wrong? You don't have to tell me if you don't want too, im just here to make sure your ok."
   I then stood up and started walking but then Cliff got up and said
"Wait...I'm sorry I'm just upset at the moment".
I tell him it's fine and I walk out the door. When I get outside I see Mary and Gray walking out the door of the Library laughing and giggling. I kinda felt a little jealous. I stare at them for a long time until I hear barking. "Sshh!" I tell Max. He barks louder. "Ssshh!!" He starts growling and gets starts pulling his leash until it unhooked and he runs away! I don't notice because I was still staring at Mary and Gray. Next thing I know I'm tripped by my dog and he runs over to Mary and Gray knocking them both down. Max then runs off somewhere! I get up and I see Gray and Mary on the floor.
"Sorry guys! My dog is a little crazy.
  Mary says its alright and Gray doesn't really say anything. I say " Gray I'm really sorry but I don't think I really did anything wrong, I hope you can forgive me!" I then go to chase after Max.

I end up finding Max stuck in a bush after running two blocks! It was also late and dark and I didn't know my way back. With Max in my arms I start to walk even though all I see is darkness. Until I saw a bright light and ended bumping into someone. "Owww who the..." Then I freeze. I bumped into someone who evidently knew my name. He said "Claire." I don't say anything and then we look up at each other and then I knew who exactly it was! It was Kai!!! "Kai!! When did you get here! You're here early, well actually you're just on time!"
  "Hi Claire I was on my way to the Inn, tomorrow is the first day of summer so I have to be here."

"That's cool! But I can't really see which way my farm is, can you walk with me home?"

"Sure!"

On our way I told Kai about all the stuff that's been happening he seemed pretty surprised. Well I would be to if I haven't been here since last Summer! When we got back to my house I told Kai thank you and went inside. Max fell asleep on the floor, and I accidentally bumped into a picture of me and Gray hanging on the side of my bed. It was when me and Gray were little. I also saw a new picture right next to it of me and Cliff when I was in the hospital. I wanted to know....

Do I love Cliff or Gray? Or maybe I just haven't found him yet...
