Chapter 10
After the big scene, Gray leaves and I finish watering the crops. But I then forget that it was raining! What a waste of water.. I also realized I have no animals! So I guess now would be a good time to get some since I'm in such a good mood! So Im on my way down to the Poultry farm and then I slip in a rain puddle. Ugh great. Now Im all wet! What a great way to ruin my mood. Oh we'll I'm just buying a chicken anyway. I'm gonna be dirty from carrying it. Il just change before the summer festival. I walk into the Poultry Farm soaked. There was no one at the front desk. Then Popuri and Rick's mother,Lillian, comes down the stairs.
"Hello Claire, what are you doing here?" Lillian asks
"Oh nothing, just came to buy a chicken!" I say smiling
"Oh why is that Claire? Is it because of your new relationship?" She questions me.
"How did you know? Hehe, but yes me and Gray just started dating about a hour ago."
"That's so sweet, things go fast around here, I wish my husband would come back from his long trip." Lilian said
Lillian is usually very sick and her husband went on a journey to find doctors to cure her.
"Yeah he will come back for you, I know he will." I tell her
"Thank you Claire. Well right now is a festival day so the shops are closed. But for making me smile today you can take any chicken you like home with you today."
"Oh thank you Lillian, see you at the festival!" I wave goodbye and walk out.
Poor Lillian I hope her husband comes back. I walk outside and see all the chickens. They were all nice but then I see a cute little chirpey one! I pick him up and take him back to the farm with me.
I put him in the Chicken Coop with some food and leave outside. I didn't know what to call him so for now his name is Chicken! Oh no I'm going be late for the beach festival! I quickly change into a pair of pink overalls, grab max and run outside to the festival.
By the time I got to the festival everyone was watching the first dogs that are about to start the game. I run up to the from of the line and put Max at the starting line.
"Ready...Set...Go!!"
I throw the frisbee almost perfect, and Max was jumping and catching them as fast as he could. Unfortunately that wasn't good enough for the judges and we landed in third place.
At the end of the race everyone was standing and talking with there friends. Then Cliff comes over to me and little Max.
"Hi Cliff!!" I say to him.
"Hi Claire...it's been a while hasn't it." Cliff says
"Yeah!"
"I haven't seen you since you passed out and got into the emergency..."
"Hehe...yea" I say with a small fake chuckle.
"Yeah so I heard....you're dating...someone now..." He says quietly looking down.
"Yeah! Wow...we just started dating this morning and everyone knows?" I say
"Hey Claire I have a surprise for you!" Gray says walking over toward me
"Ok coming Gray!" I say back
"Yeah....things go around here quick...sorry you didn't win! Good luck with....your....re...la...tion....ship.. Cya" Cliff said walking away.
I think Cliff is a little jealous....oh no...I didn't want that to happen! Was it bad to date Gray... I'm sure everything will be fine...right?
