Chapter 11
Claire POV
It was the next day after the festival and I woke up not as excited as I usually am. Oh well...I have to get up anyway. I got up and sorta walked around in a sluggish way. I think Max sensed I was upset and came over to me. Such a good boy Max!! Well anyway today I got dressed in green overalls, ate breakfast then went outside to start the usual routine.
OMG!! My chicken!!! I run over to the chicken coop and my chicken is.......................................is.....
Perfectly fine! I give him some food and leave out to water the crops.
After I was done I felt sort of bad I haven't seen Cliff in a while after talking to him yesterday. I think Il go ask him to join me on a walk.
I start leaving my farm and walk over to where the church is which is where I usually see Cliff. I walk in and Cliff is sitting right where I thought he'd be.
I sit right next to him and he's super quiet. I guess il ask him to walk with me now. "Hey Cliff do u want to go on a walk with me?" Cliff says "Sure....I guess..."
He gets up and we walk over to Mothers Hill. Not my mother, that's just what they call the hill. We go over to it and sit down. It got kind of awkward so I thought I should start talking. "Hey Cliff what have you been doing lately?"
"Umm...nothing recently.."
"Same here I just been taking care of my farm animals and crops."
"That's nice.."
I think that was the end of our conversation. Because it got really quiet after it. We kinda just stared into each others eyes....I don't know what to say, cause I'm taken and I don't know what to do...so we're just looking at each other. And then I close my eyes for a minute to take in the peaceful rest, and to end the starring. While my eyes are closed... I begin to feel something..
Cliff...

I open my eyes....Gray! What will he say!!! I start yelling after, and Cliff kept on apologizing. I couldn't think straight and ran home crying.. I jump onto my bed and tears come down the side of my face. Then there's a knock at the door...
"Go Away whoever you are!"
Then the door opens... Of all people, it's Gray...
"Hey Claire, what's wrong?"
