Camila had to leave, gosh, I'm gonna miss her. We aren't going to see each other until 2016. She's heading to her world tour, and I'm on break.

I watched Camilas plane go, and I didn't leave until the plane took off. I drove home in my tanned red jeep. When I got home it was raining hard. My house smelled like scented seasonal cinnamon, my mum must have bought new things.

Every year during the holidays, my mum goes shopping on the same exact date for years. In the month of December she makes sure to cover the house in a seasonal smell so when you walk in it smells like Christmas—if that even makes sense. But I love it when my mum does that. She invites my friends and my cousins. And we have a family dinner on December 1st.

It was the last day of November so she is getting everything planned.

"Hey mum, who are you inviting over this year?" I ask as I grab an apple from our fruit basket on the kitchen counter.

"Uh I was thinking maybe inviting Lauren and her family." She mumbles as she puts supplies and food in the cabinets. Her name is Lauren but everyone calls her Laur. It's a cute nickname I came up with.

"Oh" I said sounding surprised.

"It will be good to meet the parents of your future girlfriend right Shawn?" She said teasing.

"Muuuum, you know I had a crush on her. Like 5 years ago. We aren't dating."

"Oh right. How about Camila?" My eyes lit up, and I smiled.

"She's just a friend too" I said.

-----NEXT DAY-----
(Dinner was over they headed to Prom)
Laur went to her house to change into her actual dress. "You look great already, are you sure you want to change?"

"Yesss. I told you this isn't my actual dress, my actual dress is much better." We were leaning on the corner of her house she was lifting her dress, because it was long. So she held her dress, and I was grabbing her hand. I was already in my suit.

I was leaning in to kiss her and I stopped myself. I don't know what came over me. Hopefully she didn't notice.

Laurs P.O.V
It was so much fun talking to Shawn, Aaliyah, and his cousins. They were so sweet. And they all seemed to like me. Aaliyah even told me who her crush was at school.

"His name is Jax" she told me, we were in her room. "Who's your crush?" She asked me. It was like a little sister to sister talk. I felt like we had that bond. We have been spending like everyday together.

"Ummm I don't know," I laughed.

"Is it my brother?" She whispers. "You know what," she said before I could answer, "I'm 100 percent sure Shawn likes you. He talks about you all the time" I start to blush.

"Really?" I laugh.

"Do you like him?" She asks me.

"Maybe, but even so if I did like him, I'm pretty sure he likes another girl right now" I tell her.

"You mean Camila?" "Shawn says she's just a friend, and that they would never date" that made me smile a little. But all I said was "oh. You should go to sleep Aaliyah." I tell her.

"Okay, but think about what I told you. Because I really like you, you're a perfect fit for my brother.. If you even like him" she says while she closes her eyes.

"I do" I say hoping she didn't hear me. I hear someone's foot steps. Hopefully that wasn't Shawn. My face turns as bright as a ripe tomato.

I don't see Shawn anywhere, so I go downstairs and my parents and brother stay with my parents and Shawn comes outside.

He drives me home and we stay outside (keep in mind it's freezing in Canada) on the corner of my house Shawn lays back.

"I have to go get ready," I tell him.

He grabs my free hand, "Why you already have a dress, and it looks great by the way." He says.

"I have to go put on my actual dress. Shawn. " I say trying not to blush. I start to shiver. And he gives me his hoodie from his car.

All of a sudden it's an awkward moment of silence, when I see Shawn move in and lean in. Was he trying to kiss me? No. He stopped himself. Or maybe it was just me and my head.

I put it on while I go inside. The hoodie smells like shampoo and Shawn. It's the best scent ever created. It's his scent. I put his hoodie down on my chair in my room and I change to my dress.

Shawns P.O.V
-----DAY AFTER PROM-----
Nothing happened in prom, and I'm happy about that. Because I'm so confused with how I feel about Laur and Camila. Someone tweets at me on Twitter it's blowing up my phone.

I saw the picture, and I couldn't believe I was extremely mad. I thought Camila loved me last night.

I tweeted out to Camila but making it seem like it's in general for all people.

@/ShawnMendes: Never in my life, had I been so wrong about someone/something. 💔

Everyone started hating on Camila and I didn't want that. I guess whatever we had was officially over now. So I tweeted something similar.

@/ShawnMendes: Hating on somebody doesn't make you a better person, it doesn't make anyone feel better, so why do it?

Social media kind of calmed down, but people were assuming things so on my last interview before the break was on the Ellen Show. They asked me about touring with Taylor, my music, the reason for my break, how I felt about J.B, and Camila.

"Well how am I supposed to react. She's not my girlfriend. And we weren't so close."

"So you aren't dating?" Ellen says.

"Oh no," I try to laugh, "obviously not!"

"Alright" and I perform Memories and I leave back to Canada.

I'm sure Austin and Camila broke up the next day, but Camila lied to me about her feelings. And I don't think I will forgive her, or trust her ever again.

Laur found out and she was just as upset as I was. She started saying nice things to me about how important I am and how much I mean to her. That made me feel special. I liked to know I meant something to her.
