the talk(sisters)

"Miley bear come eat!" Nessa yelled to the room.

Alexis never got the chance to twll me what she had to tell me due to the door bell ringing. The family had just made it back from NewYork.

"Get dressed, we'll talk when we get a chance." I said kissing her forhead before leaving the room.

"Coming!"

We all sat at the dinner table together i think for the first time since Ms.Joyce's passing. We all held hands and said grace then dug in.

"Mommy can i get ice cream afterwards?" Miley asked biting into her chicken.

"No but you can get some fruit and water" she responded as she grabbed the salad bowl. Mileys face held a sad expression.

I chuckled at her. I'd have to fall into her trap everytime. Every time mom tells her no for sweets I'd later sneak and give her whatever she asked for. Looking up from her plate her eyes landed on mine and her face no longer held that sad expression.

I mean I know I eat healthy but Miles is a kid a candy bar or ice cream every now and then wouldn't hurt!

We all talked amongst eachother. I would see Lex drift off every so often. I looked around the table seeing if anyone noticed and when my eyes landed on Ang she was already looking at me.

Breaking our gaze Miles called my name. "Diggys!"

"Yes Miles?" Can you, Ang and Nessa read me a bedtime story?" She asked giving me that look.

"Yea sure are you sleepy? It's only six o'clock?" I asked looking at the time.

"Yea I didn't sleep in the car, please?"

"Alright. Ness Ang come on."

We all got up putting out dishes away then walked with Miles up the steps singing her bedtime story she had made up.

Once we made it to the room and closed the door i got straight to it.

"Now, what's up missy?" I asked as Ness and Ang looked on.

"What's wrong with Lexi? Why is she so sad?" She asked.

"She's just missing her mommy Miley, she'll be alright don't you worry ok?" Ness said hugging her.

"Do you want to talk to her?" I asked.

"Yes please!" She said getting excited.

"Were you really sleepy little girl?" Ang asked.

"Yes I am. I couldn't sleep in the car cause Russy kept pooting and farting in the car." She said.

"Ew I shouldn't have asked!" Ang said cringing at the thought.

"Alright then. Brush before you lay, pray before you lay and put your pajamas on first! We'll go get Lex."

We all walked out the room together. This would be the only time I'd get to talk to my big sisters alone so i took that opportunity.

We walked to a guest room.

"Wassup Diggy!!!" Ang said being funny.

"How were you guys when you lost your virginity? " i asked.

They both looked at me as if i had two heads.

"Look I think Alexis is ready to have sex and yo I'm mad nervous!" I said.

"She's a virgin!?" Nessa asked surprised.

"Yea, I need to get input from a female. I know it's a lot to it, like feelings, emotions, nerves, anxiety i need to know so that I can be as careful with her as possible"

"Awww look at lil bro! You really do love her!" Nessa said sitting next to me as Ang sat on the other side of me.

"Whatever you do, be gentle with her. Look her in the eyes don't rush things and if you feel like things are moving too fast slow it down." Ang said.

"And please understand that she might get a little more attached than usual. She's giving you the one thing she has left of her that she can never get back, be sure not to hurt her feelings in the process and if she decides to not do it, be understanding to her decision." Ness added on.

"How do you know she's ready?" Ang asked.

"She's been throwing me hints. Like keeps saying she's ready but act as if she was just joking. Flirting a lot more, touching a whole lot more, being very seductive towards me and a lot of other things that I refuse to get into details about. I just know!" I said exhaling heavily as i ran both hands down my face.

"That's my baby, I just want to make sure I do everything right!" I said seriously.

"Don't worry big guy you got this! Oh, and wear a condom rule number one!" Nessa said.

" I can't believe you've been in a relationship without sex, have you cheated on her?" Ang asked.

"What!? No, I've never cheated on Alexis! She means too much to me I can't do that!" I said now standing.

"Oh, ok. I was about to punch you real hard if you would have answered that differently!" Ang said jokingly but i knew she was dead serious. I laughed.

"The funeral is in two days" i said as we got up. We all looked at eachother.

"Well, we'll have her back to the fullest!" Nessa said.

"Yes because that's sis" Ang said as we opened the door.

"Thanks for trusting us Digg " Ness said.

"I wouldn't have come to anybody else, i know my sisters wouldn't steer me wrong!"

After making it down to the kitchen i saw that my mom was cleaning the kitchen.

"Mommy!" I said walking up to her hugging her and kissing her.

"Hey Dig whatcha doing?"

"Nothing had a talk with my big sisters, sorry for leaving the table."

"Oh don't worry about it, is everything ok?" She asked turning the sink off putting her full attention on me.

"Yea, two more days" I said faintly.

"I know, me and daddy took care of the arrangements and by this being a small town word travels fast. Me and the girls will start cooking tomorrow and daddy got the obituary prepared, Ang will go tomorrow morning to do the make-up and all you have to do is focus on Alexis. We have it all taken care of son!"

"What would I do without my family!" I said looking at her.

"She's a good girl baby, I can't help but to love her. She's perfect for you!"

"I love you mommy! I know I say it a lot but I can't say it enough!" I said hugging her once again as I placed a kiss on her forehead.

Alexis losing nearly her whole family in a matter of years only made me appreciate my parents and siblings being here even more.
