"Thanks for showing up for us once again Diggy " said the manager of the bakery as they shook hands.

"No problem whenever I'm available I'll be here! " he responded.

"And Ms. Alexis, thank you also! You know we've got a baker slot open so whenever you're ready just let me know" he joked.

"You are certainly welcome"

After small talk we rushed to the truck to get out of the cold. There was an awkward silence that filled the truck so I turned the radio on and put the volume on low.

"Did you ever hear of the saying "never touch a man's radio" woman? " he quoted. I just laughed at him and looked out the window.

Diggy

"You laughing ? Ok, I got you remember that!" I told her as I continued to drive. The night was still young and honestly I wasn't ready to end it just yet.

"Uh Daniel where are we going?" Alexi asked turning the radio down.

"Chill Lex, don't you trust me?" I asked with a sly smile on my face.

"NO!" She replied causing me to laugh out loud.

"Trust me today then alright? I promise you'll make it home safely."

"Alright, but no funny business " she said sitting back in her seat.

I actually didn't know where we were going I just wasn't ready to end the night. It's been so long since I had a female friend to just chill with and I was enjoying her company, she's pretty cool.

"You hungry Alexi? " I asked glancing over at her.

"Yea I can go for a meal, tab on you right?" She joked.

"Yea I got us- I mean I got it"

We ended up at my favorite spot the pizzeria. It was never too packed so that was good on my end.

"Hey I love this spot" Alexi said getting out of the car. I closed the door behind her then opening the door to the restaurant letting her in first as I followed.

We sat in a corner seat away from the Windows. Alexi ordered two slices of pepperoni cheese pizza and I ordered my usual veggie pizza and a water.

"Veggie pizza!? Really? Out of all the pizzas here you choose veggie?" She said clowning my choice of food.

"Yes it's healthy and it's actually good" I admitted. The waitress bought us our food, I looked over at Alexi as her eyes widened from the sight of her pizza. It looked so good.

"Want a slice? " She asked pleasingly .

"Nah I'm cool with this" I lied. I had no meat only vegetables and crust.

"Omg live a little Daniel, here you can have one of mine and I'll take one of yours". She said grabbing a napkin swapping our pizzas.

"Alexi that would be considered cheating"

"Not really, one slice of greasy, cheesy, meaty good pizza wouldn't hurt" She said before biting into the veggie slice first.

She was right, I grabbed the pepperoni and was done with it in three whole bites, it was the best hands down!

We laughed and talked more and I got to know a little more about her. She didn't open up completely but it was enough for one day.

"Well, thanks for everything Daniel, I really enjoyed myself " she said as we walked up to her door I could see her smiling from behind her.

"No problem Alexi, I enjoyed myself too" She turned facing me and like always I was right behind her, I don't know, I can't help myself (lol) .

"Can I have a hug, a real one this time? " I asked with raised eyebrows looking down at her. She bit her bottom lip as her eyes roamed elsewhere as if she had to think about it then reached her short arms up and wrapped them around my neck.

Alexis

"Gosh his hugs are the best" I thought to myself as he placed his hands around my hips bringing me in closer to him. I sniffed the collar of his coat with my eyes closed taking in his scent he smelled so good. "Thanks for Chillin with me today Alexi " he said in a whisper. It kind of gave me chills hearing him speak in such a tone that only he could.

"You're welcome Daniel, thank you " I responded.

We slowly detached ourselves from each other. Diggy stood over me closely as usual , I could feel him breathing on the tip of my nose as I looked up at him. He leaned closer and closer towards me causing my nerves to go crazy on the inside. "Oh gosh is he about to kiss me! ?" I repeatedly asked myself in my head. I don't think I'm ready for this! I almost panicked!.....
