Jacinta

“Hey Amy,” I answered.

“Shelly has invited us all to a formal party on Saturday. Tag along your boyfriend if he’s free or a male date if he’s cool.”

I gasped. “You’re serious aren’t you?”

“Obviously, Jacinta,”

“Shelly is so awesome!”

She laughed. “Oh, I need you to get something.”

“Sure what is it?” I asked.

“Since these shops around here have nothing good. I need you to buy a dress,”

“For you?”

“No. It’s for my friend Krissy.”

“Who?”

“She just moved here,” she stopped briefly, “and she’s staying at our place.”

“You have a stranger in the house?”

“She’s not a stranger. I know her well.”

There goes Amethyst and her warm heart. “But you just met?”

“You can say she’s like an old friend.” Amethyst replied. “You’ll love her. We’ll all become best friends, I just know it.”

“I believe you when you say that.” And I really do.

“How old is Krissy?”

“19, so there’s not much of a difference.”

“Where did she move from?”

“Somewhere in Florida,” She said. “She’s beautiful, smart and has her way with kicking asses.”

I giggled. “I want to meet her already.”

“Just like me, you’ll love her at first sight.”

“So what color am I looking for?”

“I’m thinking more of a light blue, to match her pale blonde hair.”

“More information so I can keep an eye out for exquisite killer dresses.”

“Something tight, she has nice curves to show off.”

“Ooh la, la.” I murmured. “I need details now. What size?”

“12,”

“And height?”

“Slightly shorter than me,”

“How’s her hair?”

“Waist length, pale blonde hair,”

“Alright, I’m done with the info collection.”

“Thanks Jacinta.”

“You can count on me.”

“I know I can,” she said, “So, how are things there? I mean you and Zach.”

“The usual, I love him, more and more each day.”

“Someone’s in l-o-v-e!”

I giggled. “Yes I am.”

“What about Sam and Selena?”

“They can’t keep their hands off each other,”

Amethyst giggled. It was a gracious sound that made me want to join her.

“How are you?”

“I’m fine,”

“Amethyst,” I shouted.
