Chapter 11: Jacinta

“Selena!” I shouted.

“Done,” she replied “you?”

“Of course,”

“We’re all set then.”

“It’s going to be a great surprise party!”

“No doubt,”

“Let’s go over one last time. I feel like something is missing.”

“Okay,”

“Invitations?”

“Sent,”

“Presents?”

“Bought,”

“Cake?”

“Baking,”

“Decorations?”

“Finished,”

“Music?”

“Jamming,”

“Food?”

“Ready,”

“Drinks?”

“Stacked,”

“That’s everything then,”

“Chill Jacinta everything will run smoothly.”

I looked at the time 5:30pm. Half an hour until things really heat up.

Thankfully Krissy had helped with the plan and kept Amethyst far away.

“We should change.”

“It’s party time!” Selena agreed.

I went up to my room to change into my tight seamed black mini dress. When I was done with my hair, I looped in my silver earrings and clasped the matching necklace and bracelet in place. Finishing my look was my black bow tied heels and my jungle red waterproof lipstick.

Selena was already done when I came down. Her hair was the same, straight and pretty. She wore a halter yellow dress and brown boots. With her light cherry cheeks and glossy pink lips, she looked cute.

“I think the party will be running smoothly with us beautiful hostess.”

The door bell rang.

“The party has officially started.” I confirmed.

Amethyst

“So that’s the entire town,” I said, when we finally stopped at the café. “Krissy, you wanted a tour and you got three now can we please go home!”

“Stop whining Amethyst.”

“Can we?”

“Can I finish my drink at least?” she asked.

“Sure.”

We walked back home slowly, neither of us bothered to talk.

When my house was in eyesight, I paced a little. I was tired, and I needed some sleep.

I opened the door.

“Surprise!” The house was crowded.

“What the –“

“It’s a surprise party arranged just for you.” Selena explained. She had found her way through the dispersing immense group to stand beside me. “This is to replace your birthday party on Tuesday.”
