Chapter 12: Callie

Spencer had to go get a bigger car he actually came back with one of those mini bus things i was impressed and we had extra room Ben and Gabe were packing everything most everyone was saying their goodbyes eventually everyone was in the car are little "Couples" sat together I was going to sit with Spencer but He wanted to drive so i ended up sitting alone i was okay with that gave me some time to think i couldn't get Artemis's words outta my head i only spent 2 years there i was grateful to come back but her last words she said to me still sends chills up my spine If you continue to ignore the darkness inside you it will overrun you That scared me and i knew she loved me like a mother but wow those words freaked me out beyond belief she taught me something that i've been using ever since i got back she called it "Faking it" well i've been faking a lot of things i'm extremely good at faces like i'm pretty sure someone could be dying and i could act like it didn't bother me although inside i would probably be exploding or something. I could still hear her in my head sometimes she tries to get me to talk back other times she's like "we should totally go rob a bank today" that was normal i liked talking to Ben about it because he understood i mean he is a child of Hades so it made sense i believe he was in the back sleeping Andy and Virgo were talking about Cookies i was actually surprised when i saw Alex I think i expected Andy and i wasn't prepared for him to Prank us i had to leave not because off the whip cream I was glad everyone was paying attention to Alex and not me because I was utterly and entirely confused so He remembered but he was still Alex i didn't feel like he was Andy I didn't feel like it was the same Brother i have come to look up to but i guess i had to accept that things aren't going to be the same for a while i got jolted out of my thoughts when we stopped the car i looked up Whoa it was night time already!?! Most everyone was asleep i saw Spence outside putting gas in the car i stood and walked out off the car Spencer frowned when he saw me

"I'll be right back"

and i walked into the Gas station i wandered around i kinda wanted chocolate but i knew i would just get sick i haven't ate in well 2 years Artemis had to give me Something she said as long as i had it i didn't have to eat but once i started eating it would stop working and restart when i stopped so i wasn't hungry i was just wanting to eat actual food i grabbed a bunch of food and payed and got back in the bus I haven't told anyone that i haven't ate in 2 years but Ben normally if i did eat in front of them i would eat it then get sick a couple hours later and throw up so no one knew and i wanted to keep it that way The goddess said it was because Eva was doing that to me i don't know how but she was so after i eat Everything i had i went to sleep which surprised me a lot i knew we were heading back to Virgos to meet Ophy the apparent 15 year old who doesn't remember Anything we had a babysitter watch him so we can figure out what to do Well when i woke up maybe 6 hours later i had a huge stomach ache and it was daytime so everyone was awake Yay Crap i need an excuse i'll just tell them i ate too much Ben sat beside me

"You're an Idiot"

I was genuinely confused "What?"

"You don't want your friends to know you haven't been eating so you go and eat food you know that won't work"

I sigh sitting back "I know i already have a stomach ache"

He rolls his eyes and finally says "Want me to tell them to pull over"

I nodded i could hear Eva in the back of my head laughing and that went right through me i was happy though Spencer informed me we were in California so that was good meant we were 4 or 5 hours away as soon as the car stopped i got up and walked out slowly then...Got sick when we got back on the road i was fine just like normal again everyone Mostly Virgo was concerned i shrugged it off telling them a lie and they bought it thankfully although Spencer eyed me closely I had been doing that alot he knew that he knew i couldn't possibly be sick for 2 years without something being really wrong i was silently hoping he wouldn't say anything i had just realized it's been hours and no one but Ben, Spencer and Virgo had bother to even say hi i guessed they were so excited about Alex to bother to even ask if i was okay i understood i was excited to just my excitement turned to sadness a few hours ago Ben kept talking to me about random stuff i was happy about that because i knew i wasn't about to risk sleeping again he knew that eventually though, he did need sleep so he went to a seat and passed out i noticed Gabe took over so i saw Spencer walking towards me Crap he sat beside me and grabbed my hand

"So Sick for two years now"

I sighed "Uh Look i think it might be me readjusting to the food she had me on a tight diet"

he looked at me and I smiled and then he nodded i mentally high fived myself he bought it although i felt terrible about lying it's better than everyone staring at me like the used to they looked at me as if they were waiting for me to crack and i wasn't about to let that happen again.
