Your Point of View:Garroth walked up to the front, and everyone silenced, as he made his way up. He had a piece of paper in his pocket and pulled it out.
"Alright, I've made several appearances during this whole thing, but I swear, this is the last time." everyone chuckled, as he cleared his throat, "I'm not the best at making speeches, I'm not the best when it comes to talking in front of people, but I do know how to get a message out, even if it takes longer than expected. Today, not only will I share my happiness, but I will sharing a journey. Only about 3-4 weeks ago, I was devastated with news I knew I would never forget. My biological mother has passed away... she had died. And I was depressed. I hid it well, but when I was alone, I was alone, and I felt it. I cried, I mourned, and it was alone. But I wasn't alone all the time. I had (F/N), and my friends, who made me feel better, got me back on my feet, and got me to smile a real smile everyday. I will honestly admit, when I found out my father had been engaged shortly after the passing of my mother, I was mad. I was mad at the fact that he had moved on so quickly. I had thought he forgot about his children's opinions. I thought he had forgotten about Zane and I's sorrowful emotions. And for that, I didn't want to see his face... I didn't want to do anything with him, I was that mad. But then, one day during art class, I had found out who his fiance was. It was Marie, and I will say. I cried. I cried in school... I felt bad, I felt terrible... but then one day after football, Marie had taken time out of her day, to take my bowling and out for dinner. That's when I realized... he was trying to help. How would he help? I mean, I was so sad that I didn't even want him to speak to me. He wanted me to have a motherly figure in my life, even if it meant moving on so quickly. And Marie had already known him for so long, they got along so well, the same way my mother and him would. Seeing him happy again, carefree again, lovable again... it made that hateful barrier crack. I knew he meant well, but at the time, it didn't seem like it. When I saw them standing at that alter, that crack got even bigger. When they danced, and when their faces showed enjoyment and... l-love, that barrier broke down. It broke down to the point where I felt OK. I know it will take me a while to accept it completely, but knowing that these two lovebirds are happy, I am as well. So, I want everyone to raise their glasses. I shall make the first toast, to Mr. and Mrs. Ro'meave. May this day remain as cheerful and bright as the both of you, and may the rest of your lives as a married couple be as great and as lively as your personalities. To the newlyweds."
"To the newlyweds." we all repeated after Garroth, and everyone clapped. He sat back down, and I smiled at him.
"Hey wait a minute..." Garroth looked at the table, "I know you." he looked at a boy sitting in between Marie and Zane. "Vylad?"
"Hey Garroth." this, Vylad smiled. Oh no... I could see Marie look at them confused.
"W-What are you doing here?" Garroth asked Vylad.
"Zane!" Garte looked at Zane.
"What, Father?" Zane mumbled.
"What's going on?" Garroth asked them.
"Garroth... Vylad's your stepbrother." Marie quietly replied. Garroth's eyes widened, and he looked at Vylad, and then at his father, and then Marie.
"What?" he asked quietly, "What w-w-was that?"
"He's your stepbrother." Garte answered.
"Dad... why didn't I know this before?" Garroth asked quietly.
"Zane was supposed to tell you."
"Why didn't you tell me face to face?" he asked, looking up.
"Because I was busy."
"Busy with what? Work? That's the perfect excuse, Dad."
"Garroth..." Marie whispered.
"No, I just need time. I just got over saying a speech... we're family now. But why did I not know earlier, Zane?"
"I didn't feel like telling you." the whole entire area was quiet.
"Why didn't you feel like telling me we had a brother?"
"Because, I was mad."
"Mad at what?"
"Mad at life." Zane simply replied. Oh no...
"Zane, we're going into the church, now." Garte stood up, taking Zane with him. I froze, and Marie didn't know what to do either. Garroth let out a sigh, before he looked up.
"I am really sorry for reacting that way." Garroth shifted in his seat embarrassed.
"It's not your fault, Garroth." I assured him, "That was incredibly calm."
"No, I feel terrible. But, I guess I can fix it. Vylad, I'm so sorry if you felt offended."
"You look like you had no idea. You looked so shocked!" Vylad replied. "I know it wasn't your fault. You're fine."
"I'm still gonna feel bad though." Garroth chuckled, "But welcome to the family, fully, now that I know. I'm not mad, I'm shocked. But I really hope you're not as stubborn as Zane. Please, tell me you're not stubborn, or dumb." Vylad laughed,
"No, at least I don't think I am."
"OK, good." Marie and I laughed, as everyone laughed.
"But I can be crazy, I'll warn you there." he added.
"I can work with crazy. Welcome to the family, Vylad. At least I know you somewhat, since we both go to the Academy."
"Thanks Garroth, that means a lot." Vylad smiled. Marie and I could only smile. For the remainder of the time, we had all talked, laughed, and everyone got back up to dance. Garroth stood up, and took my hand.
"So, (F/N), want to dance?" he asked me.
"I would love to." we walked to the dance floor, and the jive ended. Then, the band started playing a slow song. I blushed, and Garroth did as well. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and I wrapped mine around his neck, and we swayed to the music. Then, the music started to move up. Garroth held my hands, and then we started to do a slow dance step. Fortunately I wasn't a complete moron when it came to dancing, thank goodness for gym class dancing in 8th grade, otherwise I would be trapped.
"Not bad, (F/N), not bad." Garroth chuckled.
"I could say the same for you, Mr." I giggled, "Hey, I'm proud of you. You know that, right?"
"Why?"
"You made such a lovely speech, our duet was on point, and even though you found out you had a stepbrother, you took it so calmly. I'm sure your dad is happy you didn't make a big deal out of it, unlike Zane."
"Yeah, I know not to make a deal out of things. Although, I think I took that too calmly."
"It's in the past now..."
"I know, I know. Thank you (F/N). You've been keeping me balanced this whole time. Seriously, I would be so lost here."
"I wasn't going to say no, Garroth. I'm really happy for you, you know. Are you OK?"
"OK? I'm much happier than before... I hope you know that."
"How so?"
"I didn't have friends before you came around. I can only imagine what would've happened if my mother had died and you weren't there. I would've been depressed, and sad, and lonely."
"Aw, Garroth..."
"I'm serious. I didn't know Laurence, or Dante, or Cadenza. I only knew myself, and my family."
"Well, I'm glad I moved to the Academy then. As long as I know I've made a difference in someone's life, then I'm golden." I replied.
"So, are you actually going to the hotel?"
"Yeah, I am. I have an extra set of clothing, and my other things. Marie insisted. So did my mom. Quite a shocker." I giggled.
"So, do you know who you're rooming with?"
"Not at all." I answered, "Probably Bianca if she's coming as well, since we're only 2 years apart."
"Maybe we should check soon."
"Yeah, but for now, I like dancing." I smiled. Garroth chuckled, and we continued to dance, before Marie and Garte were dancing next to us.
"Garroth," Garte smiled, "Want to trade partners?" Garroth and I turned around, and then Marie and I twirled. I found myself dancing with Garroth's dad. I was kind of scared, I'm not going to lie.
"Hello (F/N), long time, no see." Garte smiled.
"Hello Mr. Ro'meave." I responded.
"You look stunning tonight. I'm very surprised. The difference between you in your coach's gear and in this bridesmaid dress is almost like one of those transformation TV shows."
"So I've heard. Thank you for the compliment."
"Of course. You know, I'm happy Garroth has someone like you."
"Someone like me? Explain."
"You see, before you came around, Garroth was what you would call a nerd." he chuckled, "He was quiet, sky, and socially awkward. Yet he was one of those hot nerds where all the girls would fall for him, yet he was too awkward to notice." I giggled at that, "And he wonders where he got his looks?" Garte smirked, "Anyways, I wanted him to be better than. I knew he had the capability of playing football, he just refused. Even his gym teacher wanted him to join."
"Coach Logan?"
"Correct. But, I also wanted him to be his own person. I wish Zane would look up to Garroth. I've always been proud of Garroth. I mean, he's a straight A student, he's athletic, and he's so humble. He's got a great heart, I know that, he just never knew how to share it with others. One special Monday at the dinner table, he couldn't stop talking about this girl, who I later found out was you."
"Really?"
"He talked our ears out the first day. His mother was overjoyed, but Zane was obviously careless about it. I thought he was lying at first."
"How so?"
"Garroth's not one to make friends that easily."
"To be fair, neither am I."
"I know that."
"Really?"
"Your mother works in one of my office jobs."
"W-What?"
"Haha! I knew you'd get surprised! I'm her boss. But, she's a great worker, rest assure you. She had a photo of you, your father and herself on her desk, and I asked her if that was (F/N). She said yes, and I told her about what Garroth had said about you."
"What did he say about me?" I asked him.
"Believe me, I would tell you, but Garroth would get pretty embarrassed." he chuckled. I blushed, and he sighed, "But, I appreciate your kindness towards my son. I also appreciate the punishment you gave Zane at the football game." I nervously laughed, before responding,
"Yeah... about that..."
"No, he deserved it." Garte sighed, "He is way too stubborn for my own good."
"Well, Garroth told me that Zane was going to try and seek revenge for that, even if it meant embarrassing me at school."
"Not on my watch." Garte frowned, "Sorry about that."
"There's no need for you to say sorry. It's his doing."
"I know, but still. I just want him to help make this day better. It's my wedding day for crying out-loud." Garte rolled his eyes, "I still can't believe he didn't tell Garroth he had a stepbrother."
"Garroth was pretty upset finding out at that second." I added, "But, it would've been better if you or Marie told him.
"Marie had assumed he already knew. I though Zane had told him, like he should've."
"Oh... Is Zane going to be a bother?"
"Hopefully not. I gave him a word, I'll tell you that. And I'll make sure he doesn't do anything to ya, I'll also tell Garroth to keep an eye out as well. Don't you two have all your classes together?"
"Um, every class except for 7th period."
"Even the Free Period... I find that amazing." Garte chuckled, "You know, he won't stop talking our ears off about you at dinner. Normally that's our time to open up as a family."
"That's really sweet." I smiled.
"It was really nice getting to see you again, (F/N). Now, my wife probably wants to dance with me. I'm glad we had this time."
"I'm glad as well." I replied. Marie and I had switched again, and Garroth sighed,
"Thank goodness." I couldn't help but laugh. The music ended, and we all clapped. The last thing to do, was to see the fireworks in the sky. We sat on blankets in the grass, and I shared one with Garroth. As the first firework went off, I could see Garroth smiling.
"Hey Garroth," I asked him, looking up at him.
"Yeah?" he looked down.
"How do you feel?"
"Huh?"
"How do you feel about all of this?"
"It's a bit overwhelming," he admitted, "But I'm just really happy that my dad's happy. I'm also glad Marie is not some rude girl only married to my dad for the money. I'm glad she's willing to listen to my problems, and I'm actually glad I have a stepbrother. It gives me another person to talk to who's actually probably really nice. But I'm glad you're here with me, (F/N). You made this wedding a lot more enjoyable for me." he commented.
"Garroth, that's why I'm here. I'm here to be your backup, and I'm here to make you happy. Also, I have another question."
"Yeah?"
"Is it true you talk about me at the dinner table?" he blushed, and I laughed, "I'm just teasing you, Mr. Tomato. But, thanks for bringing me here. Everything's been so beautiful, and I loved it." I rested my head on his shoulder, and I scooted closer to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist, and we watched as the rest of the fireworks went off. The night was so lovely, and so was the atmosphere of the wedding.

:') So cute! Gah! I could just fan-girl XD Well hello there... I think this was one of my favorite things to write, because I think it solved a lot of the mysteries in this book. But, it also means I started a lot of new ones as well! I love adding little Easter eggs, they just make reading this more and more interesting, simply because when you find one of those clues, you feel like a boss, and who doesn't like feeling like a boss? So yeah! So because I don't want to talk your ear off here, let me know what your favorite part about the whole wedding was in the comments. I would love to respond to them! Also, Marie seemed kind of rude in the beginning, but it turned out great in the end, told you I have tricks up my sleeve :) Every character gets a happy ending! But anyways, I hope you enjoyed this part, and I'll see you in the next one. Buh-bye! ~Morgan <3
