Wow... already at Graduation. Goodness... let's go!

   Your Point of View:

I was near the moment. The moment I would walk onto that stage, and collect my diploma and stand proud as I graduated. But, I had to wait, as there was a bit more before that.
"Hello parents. My name is Aphmau, and I am the Principal and Founder of Aphmau's Academy. I would like to start off this ceremony by thanking you. Thank you for coming, and thank you for coming to celebrate the moment your children graduate grade school. This day will signify not only their release into the real world, but will signify the ending, and will point out their accomplishments. Today will also be the day some very special students receive scholarships for their achievements. So without further-a-do, I would first like to start this off with a speaker. Please welcome, Mr. Garte Ro'meave." everyone clapped, as he walked to the podium.
"Thank you. It's an honor to be here... especially personally. Personally because I get to see my oldest son graduate today." he smiled, "But, I do have things to say... I have many things to say. I have seen many things in my lifetime, some bad, and some wondrous, and good. But a connection between of all these, is that they all have to do with the same thing: They are all self-inflicted. It is how we think, it is how we wonder, it is how we process things, that make the events we live through, the events we live through. Not only do I see this in myself, but I see it in the others around me. It can became a chain reaction... when someone makes it so. But, there's always that one person in a crowd, that can change anything, if their heart tells them to do so. If they tell themselves, "It's time for me to do something about this." Whenever it's stereotypical, or if it's in the real world, someone can step out of the boundaries, and create something of their own. Your minds are your minds, and your minds are what have gotten you here, sitting here, anticipating the moment you receive your diploma. It's what you go through that make an impact on your decisions. It's things you see and hear that make an impact on you as a person. When you're born with things going straight to you, you get the instant mark, saying, "Everything's going to come to me." Then, if you grew up in a not so easy location, you already know, "I have to work for my life." Kiddos, welcome to the real world. As soon as you graduate, you're off to the real world. You're gonna work, go to college if that's what your heart desires, and you have to prepare. If you're going to take one thing from this speech, it's going to be this: You must do whatever your heart wants to do. If you're interested in art, do it. If you like working with numbers, work with numbers. Because, if you're not happy in life, what's the point of living it? Thank you." I clapped, trying to process what he said. That was a subject change. After so, everyone got up to collect their diploma. I was shaking, as my name was nearing. One by one, everyone collected their diplomas, then I heard:
"(F/N) (L/N)." I walked up, and collected my diploma, before I was seated on stage. I was seated next to Garroth, and Laurence was next to Garroth. Cadenza and Dante were further down the row. Everyone was called, and there was 7 of us on stage.
"Do you all know why these 7 were placed on stage? One will give a speech, all 7 will be receiving very special on this special day. I would like to start of with Mr. Reese Von Toot-Cinnamon... the Third." Aphmau smiled. Reese and I believe Zoey received scholarships of 5,000 dollars. Cadenza and Dante got scholarships of 7,500 dollars. Laurence and Garroth got 8,000, and then I was to give a speech. I stood up, and walked up to the podium.
"Um... hello there." I nervously smiled, "My name is (F/N) (L/N)... and I was new this year. That's right, new. I moved to the Academy in the middle of the year, and believe me when I say I was nervous. I was a nervous wreck. Then, I bumped into my friends during that week... and I can't say I've been more happier in school. The adventures I had in and outside of school this year... will be memories I can keep for a long time, because they were gestures of kindness and trust I can keep. I've never had friends. I was never social. Ask my parents for crying out loud. "What are you doing today honey?" "Going to school then finishing the rest of my show, like always." I've been quiet for my whole life. In fact, old (F/N) wouldn't even be up here, she'd be too scared to face her classmates. But now, I am glad to say that the people I've met, and hung out with, have shaped me into the person I am today. I think the biggest message is whoever you meet, who you associate yourself with, are going to mold you into a person surrounded with their influences. If you're constantly around happiness, trust, confidence... you better believe you're going to be that. If you associate yourself with bad things, you best believe you'll have something to do with that. And that's why we must learn to enjoy the good things. If they are the simplest things for you, then so be it. If it's a hobby, embrace it, because it could be something in the future. I think it's very important to know that all of us are blessed. We've all been to this amazing Academy, with classes fitted for our success, with people whom we can call our friends, with adults and staff who we can talk to when there is no one else. That's what matters most. I've been to schools that were not fun. That were the complete opposite of the Academy. I've been to schools where the upperclassmen treated younger kids like garbage, where teachers didn't care about success... where nothing was done to help those who wanted to be successful. Multiple times have I seen this. It's how you process things that will change you... and it's your decision to be successful, or to fail. It always your choice. And now that we are all being sent out to the real world, we have no one to fall back on anymore. We will be blamed for OUR actions, no one will be snitched on, because there are several different factors. So, what was the message? As long as you surround yourself with success, happiness, goals, achievements, and good memories... you will set yourself up for success. And when you do, you'll know, because you will live a fulfilled life, and you'll know it too. Thank you for your time." everyone clapped, and I stepped down.
"And, here is your scholarship... for your hard work, and your inspirational events, the Academy has gifted you 10,000 dollars worth of scholarship money. Congratulations." I shook Principal Aphmau's hand and sat down in the audience.
"Now, let us go outside to celebrate this day!" we all ran outside, and everyone shouted, "1, 2, 3!" we all threw our caps in the air, and cheered. The gang and I hugged, as our parents joined us. This was a day to remember, a day that signified both an ending... and a new beginning. I could feel happiness spread around me like a wave of energy. I was surrounded by those I loved, and those I knew I could trust. I knew the true friendship I made here, would stay with me, forever... no matter what. That was something I knew for a fact. I was proud to say I was excited for the future, and I had an amazing idea of where to start.

My goodness... I'm going to cry... wow. I don't know how a high-school graduation works (I've never been to one)... sorry if this is inaccurate. I can always use the magical source of editing! But, this is getting real sad for me. Only so many more things to write, before I hit that completed button. To be honest... I don't want this to end, but I know that this will have to end... better sooner than later, eh? None of the less, this journey isn't over just yet, so I can hold off on the sappiness. I hope you enjoyed this part, and I'll see you in the last part, buh-bye! ~Morgan <3
