Chapter 36

Luke offered to drop me off back at the pack house after an hour of talking to him and Titus. I had gotten to know them a bit better, however I couldn't help but feel that Luke was hiding something from me.

We had decided that he would come in with me to explain the plan to Bellamy and Tom.

As soon as I entered the house, Ruby came running over to me and pulled me into a hug.

"Where the heck were you? We have all been worried sick!" Her voice was full with worry and I immediately felt bad.

Everyone had been through so much the last few days. Trust me to be taken on the day of Lilah's funeral.

"I'm so sorry. It was a misunderstanding." We pulled apart and she looked over to Luke.

"Who's he?" She asked me.

"Ruby, this is Luke and Luke, this is Ruby." I introduced them both.

They said hello to each other, but Ruby had a look of confusion on her face.

"I'll explain everything later. Where is everyone?" I asked, realising that Bellamy, Tom and Damon weren't here.

"They are out looking for you. I stayed here just in case you came back here. Lewys found your clutch laying on the floor and you were no where to be seen. Bellamy freaked out and thought Lewys had something to do with it. Now he's looking for you on vampire territory and I don't think the vampires are very happy." She explained.

"Wow, it sounds like a mess." Luke said under his breath.

Ruby and I both glared at him and he muttered, "sorry."

"I'll ring Cam and let him know you are here." Ruby said. I nodded and she went upstairs, leaving me and Luke standing in the entrance hall way.

"Come on." I walked into the living room with him following behind.

We sat down and I sighed thinking about Damon. Today had been Lilah's funeral. He was upset enough and to top it off he thought I was missing and was out looking for me.

"What pack is this?" Luke asked out of the bloom.

"The BlueStone pack." I replied. "Why?"

"I was just curious. I don't know many packs since I haven't been in one since you know..." He trailed off and I knew he meant since the death of his parents.

"They are on their way back here." Ruby announced, walking back in.

"So do you have a mate love?" Luke asked Ruby flirtily.

"No but I do have a boyfriend who's a vampire." I could tell she purposely added the vampire part to make him back off.

Had I missed something? Since when were Ruby and Cameron dating?

I gave her a look that said you have a lot of explaining to do, but it then turned into a grin.

The sound of the front door opening and footsteps were hears.

Bellamy waked in followed by Damon, Tom, Cameron and Lewys.

"I told you I had nothing to do with it!" Lewys said angrily to Bellamy.

Bellamy ignored him and pulled me into a hug. I immediately hugged him back breathing on his scent.

He pulled back at the same time as Damon said to Luke, "who are you?"

"I'm Luke." He replied back.

A look of jealousy mixed with anger crossed Bellamy's face. "Did you have anything to do with Astra disappearing from the funeral?"

A look of anger also crossed Luke's face. "No need to act like a dickhead. So what if I had something to do with it. She's back now isn't she?"

I felt Bellamy's wolf beginning take control of him. He was red with anger and gripped Luke by his shirt.

He was about to punch him in the face, when his hand caught on fire unexpectedly. He immediately let go of Luke in shock and looked at his hand in pain.

I realised that it was Luke. I ran over towards them and shouted, "stop!"

The fire died out which left the two guys staring each other down.

"Was that you?" Tom asked me with confusion.

I shook my head and his face paled. "Another one?"

This caught Luke's attention. "Another one! We are just like you just more powerful. There's no need in you treating us as if we are items."

"Who the heck is this prick?" Cameron exclaimed.

"If I understood all this right. I don't think you should be messing with him Cameron." Lewys added.

"Everyone just shut up!" I shouted in frustration. This was just turning into chaos.

"Luke will explain everything that happened today. There's also something we need to tell you all about Jonathan." I said more calmly this time.

This caught everyone's attention.

Well this was going to be fun to tell them. I knew for definite that Bellamy would certainly not be happy.

Author's Note

I have decided that I will hopefully be finishing this book in a few more chapters. I am going to try and write up to chapter 40 which will be the final chapter.

There will definitely be a sequel to this book which I hope you all read. :)
