Good Luck Tweet (Liam)

Just five contestants left! A band called Right Round, and four solo artists, Sonja Taylor, Nick Carter, my closest friend in the X factor house, Tanya Miller and me, Bailey Butler.

Today was elimination day. They were going to choose the top three today and I was worried to the tip of my toes.

The story of how I joined this competition was a rather unique one. I had lost faith in my singing since my parents had died two years ago. Car crash. I still sang, if you called unconscious humming a song. But singing was something my parents encouraged. They loved it when I sang. My dad would have a smile plastered from ear to ear when my voice resonated around in our humble home. Since that unfortunate day, I kept picturing their smiling faces when I sang and it would bring back the painful memories, the tears, the hurt that I had pushed into a tiny corner of my heart. But Josh, my best friend signed me up for X factor without my consent, brought me for the auditions blindfolded, saying it was a surprise. When I pulled the black cloth off my eyes I almost made a run for it but Josh told me to just please give it one shot. That it would make my parents happy! So I hadn’t a choice now, did I? I waited backstage, nervous out of my mind. I had my phone and looked for any form of entertainment. Josh was so nervous for me, he could’ve peed in his pants. So he sat in one corner, praying, providing no entertainment whatsoever. So I went back to my most common source of entertainment. Twitter. Something just made my fingers randomly glide over the keypad and before I knew it, I had tweeted.

Real_Directioner_Blood:  @Real_Liam_Payne. I’m giving my X factor auditions! Wish me luck! Any tips? xx

What did I just do?!?! Oh my god! I put my cell away in my pocket and walked to Josh who sat there with his eyes shut and fingers crossed. “Oi stop it! You’re making me more nervous!” I slapped his shoulder playfully.

“Sorry.” He grinned sheepishly.

“Bailey Bulter?” a lady with a notepad walked backstage, looking for me.

“Here!” I said in a shaky voice, Okay. Now I was nervous.

“You’re up next.” She told me and gestured for me to follow. I walked behind and saw Josh join us. He’s such a darling.

“You can do it! I know it! Come on Baileyyy!!” Josh jumped and hugged me tight. We were standing at the entrance of the stage, waiting for me to be called on.

Just then my phone rang, I had a twitter notification.

Real_Liam_Payne:  @Real_Directioner_Blood best of lucckkkk, love! Just be confident and be yourself! Goood luckk!:)

OH. MY. GOD. He replied! He replied to me!

“He replied to me!” I jumped and shouted out loud.

“Who did?!” Josh asked.

“Liam freakin' Payne Joshieee! He wished me luck!” I jumped.

“Suddenly, my best of luck looks small, doesn’t it?” he pouted.

“Not true! It means so much! So, soooo much!” I kissed his cheek.

In spite of Josh and me acting and behaving like a couple sometimes, we very much weren’t. To start off, he was more like my brother. And if that doesn’t convince you, he’s gay. His boyfriend Ron was a darling.

Every girl should have a gay best friend! They’re just so amazing, funny, protective, loving, caring! I loved Josh with all my life.

“Bailey?” the lady interrupted us.
