Kiss In The Rain (Harry)

“Harry, honestly, you think you could give me a clue? Anything?” Leah asked, running one hand through her black hair as she scanned her wardrobe for something to wear while talking to her boyfriend of six months.

“Let me think about it…” there was a small amount of silence and Leah crossed her fingers, hoping he would cave, “…No!”

Leah’s face fell even though she knew he wouldn’t tell her, “I’m at a disadvantage here. You can’t see my pout.”

“Why do you think I didn’t pick you up from work today, love?” He chuckled.

“Is that why?” She asked, subconsciously biting her nails, a vicious habit she never seemed to let go of. “I thought it was because you didn’t want to buy Niall anything today.”

Leah worked at Nandos. Just like a clichéd fan fiction, he met her when he had walked in to buy Niall some food. She was at the cashier because Tara was feeling less then sociable and bugged her to switch. And after Tara had covered for her when she had to go for a party she kinda owed her. Little did she know that she would meet Harry Styles. Leah loved her job and secretly she always imagined what it would be like if one of the boys from One Direction walked in; because who didn’t know about Niall’s deep, meaningful relationship with Nando’s? But when the curly haired lad did walk in wearing his beanie and leather jacket all she could say was, “Eep!”

“Would you like me to repeat my order, love?” He asked in his gorgeous, husky voice.

In that moment Leah tried not to faint. Love. Harry Styles had called her ‘LOVE’!

She held the counter tightly and tore her gaze away from his emerald green eyes, “I’m sorry?”

He chuckled, he was used to this reaction from girls, “Yeah, I asked for one full platter, five peri-peri chicken wings and one classic meal with rice. All of it medium spicy.”

Leah was too busy figuring out which Hollywood actor his voice sounded like and staring at his lips. “Yeah sure, sure, coming right up” she drawled and went to give the ticket. But on the little piece of paper were written two words: Zac Efron?

After that she hyperventilated and screamed in the alleyway behind the restaurant. After regaining her composure, she fixed her reflection the best that she could and walked back in. The cook then yelled at her because ‘what in the name of fuck is a Zac Efron, Leah?  Is it a fucking dessert?’ Leah face palmed herself and sheepishly walked back to Harry who was patiently waiting and signing something for a little girl, her cheeks flaming she asked for his order again.

He repeated his order and just as she was contemplating to stab herself with a knife from the kitchen, he added, “Maybe Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl? I’ve been told I speak as slowly as he does.”

Leah couldn’t stop herself from laughing, and she saw that he was as well. Once his order was ready Leah brought it to him carefully not wanting to make a fool out of herself once again. He found it highly amusing and laughed occasionally which certainly didn’t help her hand-eye coordination.

“So, you like ‘The Beatles’ huh?” He gestured to her t-shirt as she calculated the bill.

“I – how could you see that?” She asked. She was wearing the Nandos employee apron over it and it covered almost her entire body.

Harry blushed and dug the back pocket of his jeans for his wallet. Leah couldn’t help but notice how tight the black material was. “Like what you see huh?” he chuckled. Leah knew she was caught so she stared at the ground intently.
