I'm Yours (Niall)

Every day without Niall was a challenge. Every day without his beautiful blue eyes telling her it was all going to be alright was a mammoth task. Every day without his soft, sweet lips on hers were like nightmare she wished she never had to see again. She longed to be able to call him and hear his carefree voice once again. But it had been four months and she was starting to feel like she was never going to be able forget him. How could she when his name was on every billboard, when his voice was on all radio stations?

“I love you babe,” he’d say in his charming Irish accent, “and I’m all yours, forever and ever.”’

‘Then why did you leave me Niall?’ she thought for the millionth time. Memories of all the times he would kiss her after saying that played in her head. She remembered the time she went for his first concert. The way he’d always wink at her and she would smile widely from the side. The way he’d somehow let her know that 'Last First Kiss' was dedicated to her. The way he would blush when the other boys called him out on it. All the memories of the past 2 years were like a broken tape recorder on repeat.

“Les!” Leslie groaned from her bed to acknowledge her roommate and best friend Rose as she skipped into her room without asking. “You’re still in bed? I thought I told you to get your stubborn ass in a shower! I’m taking you out tonight!”

Leslie continued to stare at her best friend whose body seemed to be dripping the excitement clearly evident in her voice. “Why do you refuse to acknowledge my do not disturb sign Rose, its put there for a reason.”

“Don’t look at me like that!” she shouted and started picking up random clothes and items of food off the floor. She decided to ignore what Leslie said about the sign as well. “Five minutes!” she sang as she carried my soiled clothes away.

Leslie groaned again, suddenly remembering Niall once more.

“Is she on medication?” he asked with a chuckle when he met Rose for the first time. “How does she have so much energy? I bet she’s the type who goes on morning walks doesn’t she?”

“Runs,” Leslie managed to correct him between a fit of laughter.

“Ugh! She’s like Liam,” he groaned in Leslie’s ears.

“Oye! No PDA from the love birds!” she chided, glaring at them to move away.

“Yup, definitely like Liam,” Niall muttered in conclusion.

She laughed at the memory and stood up reluctantly. She knew she didn’t have an option; if Rose wanted to take her out she would take her out. She threw her cupboard open and her eyes fell on the sweater of Niall’s that he had given her. She picked it up and felt the fabric between her fingers. She brought it near her cheek, enjoying the sensation just as she had a million times before, except then, he had his arms around her.

“What’s this Niall?” Leslie asked when he handed her his sweater.

“Well, yesterday you said that you didn’t want me to leave,” he explained with a bashful smile, “but you know I can’t really not go on the tour…”

“Nialler, could you get to the point please?”

“Ok,” he cleared his throat and shifted awkwardly; making him look even more adorable. “I thought maybe it could remind you of me? Be your snuggle buddy ya know? Besides it kinda, um, smells like me and I know how much you -"

“Aw, that is adorable, thank you!” Leslie attacked him with a hug.

“No problem babe, I took what I wanted to remember you as well.”
