Stone brushed together a ball of moss and looked at Mouse. “Are you ready?” he asked. Mouse picked up her pile of moss and nodded. Stone picked up his pile and walked toward the place where they left Aliac. When he got to Aliac her layed the moss on the ground and waited until Mouse put hers down. They made it into a type of bed and Silver guided Aliac to the moss. Aliac layed down and sighed. “Ill get the water.” Mouse said. Stone nodded and told Namara and Snow to help her.
When Ice came back Stone ran to her and said “Mouse went to bring water and I told Namara and Snow to help her.” Ice nodded and brung the rabbit she caught to Aliac. Silver nudge Aliac awake. She woke up and ate the rabbit in a few famished bites. Stone took a plump looking squirrle and gave it to Aliac. Aliac looked at him gratefully and ate the squirrle more slowly. “Thank you.” Aliac rasped.
Stone heared Mouse approaching and he turned around. Mouse dropped the wet moss at his feet and said “There wasnt much water but we got as much as we could.” Stone nodded and said “Try to get Aliac to drink some. She ate a rabbit and squirrel.” Mouse picked up the moss and brang it to Aliac. Stone turned away and went to hunt for himself.
He sniffed trying to pick out any scent of prey. Smelling a mouse nearby he crouched down and looked for it. The mouse was nibbling on a leaf. It was scrawny but would satisfy him for a few. He jumped and gave it a killing bite. He sat down and ate it in a few bites. He licked his lips and stood up. He didn’t really want to go back but he couldn’t leave his Alpha. He couldn’t leave his sister. When he got back he saw that Aliac was walking. He ran to her and saw that her eyes were bright. “We need to get going. We already took to much time.” Aliac said. Ice stepped forward and said “But Alaic. Your still weak. We all need at least a few more days of rest.” Stone added “Yes. And you only started to walk today.” Aliac looked at both of them then glanced at the rest of the small pack. They all still looked tired. “OK. But only for a few more days. We cannot waste anymore time. I’m sorry I put you guys through this.” Aliac said lowering her head. “Its alright. It wasn’t your fault. Now please go and rest.” Ice told her. Aliac nodded and layed back down on the moss.
“Everyone else get something to eat then go rest.” Ice told them. She waited before she saw everyone nod then she layed down next to Aliac. “Thank you Ice.” Aliac said. Ice nodded then curled beside her and went to sleep.
Stone walked up to Mouse and said “When we start to travel can you stay with Namara and Snow? I think Ice would want to be with Aliac to make sure shes OK.” Mouse nodded and said “I know its hard Stone but she will get us there right?” Stone stared at her sadly and said “Honestly, all we can do now is hope she can.” He walked to Aliac and layed down on the other side of her. He gave her a lick on the ear then went to sleep.
