Broken Alpha (Book 1 of the Broken Wolves series)

Flame

  Flame loved Stone and she knew it. But when she was out hunting she saw someone she never thought she would see anymore. "Owl?" The white male wolf was sniffing along the border. he turned and his eyes widened. "Nikita?" he barked in happiness and ran across the border.. Flame flattened her ears and snarled. Owl backed away surprised and then realized the borders.

    " Sorry" he barked and sank into submission. Flame was surprised but didn't say a word. He was a large white wolf with two black dots above his eyes and his ears were fluffed up at the top.

     "Why have you come?" she said sitting down. Owl stood and stared at her. " I heard there was a new pack forming by the rocks. I wanted to join." Flame cocked her head. he was never a pack type of wolf when she was with him. "I'll take you to my alpha Aliac and you can see what she says" Owl nodded and followed her back to the camp.

    Almost everyone was out hunting or on patrol except for Aliac, Ice, and Mouse. she was secretly glad that Stone was not there. as they padded in Aliac stood and walked over. "who is this?" Flame explained who it was and why he was there. Aliac thought for a moment and said "Let me talk to my deputy for a moment."

     Owl bowed and sat while Aliac and Ice talked. Aliac nodded and said "You may stay. when the other wolves get here we will have a naming ceremony and I will appoint a mentor for you to show you around." Owl nodded but said "I would like to keep my name please." Aliac nodded an said "Very well."

    Flame left to sit with Mouse. The brown wolf was shifting through herbs and taking out the old ones. Flame watched her until everyone was back. Stone padded up to he and rubbed muzzles. "How are you?" he asked and she shrugged "I'm fine."

    Snow and Namara say with Ice and Mouse. Silver and Oak were grooming each other while Kludd and Eva layed beside them. Aliac stood and motioned for  Owl to stand beside her. "Owl wishes to join Rockpack. He will keep his name so by the powers of Starpack I codem him a warrior in turn.." She stopped and gazed around for a moment.

    "Stone you have done a great job training Kludd so now I want you to train Owl. Silver you will mentor Snow and Mouse you will mentor Namara." She closed the meeting and padded to her den.

    Flame saw Stone and Owl talking and she inched closer to her them. "I'll show you the boundaries then we can go hunting." Turning to Flame he added   "Go to the nursery and rest. I'll bring you some prey when I get back." Flame nodded and headed back to her nest.
