Broken Alpha (Book 1 of the Broken Wolves series)

Aliac

"Aliac," Stone greeted her with his head bowed. Behind him was Flame, she looked nervous and had her ears flattened. 

"What is the problem?" she barked pointing her muzzle toward Flame,confused by her scaared state. "Flame needs to speak to you, its about the river-pack." He lowered his voice and nudged Flame in the leaders den. Aliac felt sick. What was it that this she-wolf needed to speak to her about River-pack.

"Send for Ice, she should hear this." Aliac said, entering her den her ears flattened warily when she stared at Flame. Soon Ice arrived and the three wolves settled down on the deer pelt. Aliac didnt want to make Flame any more uncomfortable then she already was but she couldnt hide the growing suspicion she felt. 

"Now, what  do you have to say for the river-pack that had Stone send you to me?" Aliac barked, and Flame flattened her ears. Ice gave Aliac a swift glare and growled "Let her speak before you get angry." Aliac nodded and motioned for Flame to talk.

"I was a river-pack wolf for a few years before i left with Owl to become a loner so we could have been mates. My father Fang was the alpha at the time and he favored my sister Nyra. I couldnt help but feel jealous when i foun out she was to be the next leader, and was able to have a mate. I fell in love with Owl fast and couldnt imagine not being able to be mates. we left but i couldnt stop thinking about abandoning my pack. I tried to find them again to see if they would accept me,but they were just gone." Flame growled softly and stared at her paws. 

Aliac couldnt believe what she heard. Flame was a former river-pack wolf and the sister of the wolf who tricked Night into killing her old mate Wolf, and who alos slaughtered half her pack. Aliac growled and forced Flame into submission. Showing her teeth she barked "Nyra, your beloved sister killed half my pack and my mate. That is why we left and came here. And one of your former packmates brutally scarred Ice for life. I want you out of my pack!"

"You cant make her leave, she left that life in the past when she founded a new name! Shes close to welping Aliac!" Ice snapped and pushed Flame out of the den. Aliac watched as her deputy steered the distrought she-wolf back to the nursery. Stone greeted them there and she could see that they were speaking. Stone glared at Aliac and then disappeared into the den with his mate.

Aliac didnt want anything to do with Flame for the time being. She was too angry to think straight and she regretted telling the flame shewolf to leave the pack. She couldnt desert one if their own. "Aliac," Mouse barked pacing up to her. 

"Yes, Mouse. What is it?" Aliac softly said to the medicine healer. "I went to look for herbs and I found something you need to see." Mouse said and led her Alpha out of camp.

I know this chapter is really short. And i know i have let you guys hanging but i promise to update more often.

On another note what do you think Mouse found? How do you feel about Flames confession, do you think she should stay in Sky-pack or that Aliac should kick her out?
