Stone glared at the dead prey in the stream with sadness. Whatever killed them it looked agonizing. He didn't want to imagine how it would be if one of his pack mates got sick. He sighed as he shoved a mouse out of the water with a stick. His neck was hurting from all the effort it took.
It would be easier to just move the prey with his paws but him and his patrol were under strict orders to not touch the dead animals. One they got all the dead prey out Silver and Oak started to dig a hole to bury it. Owl went over to help and Stone ventured away. He wanted to see if he could catch something to eat before heading back to camp.
Lifting up his head he caught a scent of mouse and began tracking it. he smelled carefully for the scent of sickness but there was none. Growling happily when he saw the ear tips he leaped in the bush and killed it with one swift bit. Turning to head back he heard a low growl behind him. Stone stiffened and raised his hackles. "Who's there?" He barked turning around just in time to see a large black wolf charging at him. Stone recognized him immediately.
"Raven?" He asked but was cut off when Raven slammed into him. Stone tried to push him off but he felt Ravens sharp teeth sink into his scruff. Stone growled and clawed at the black wolf. Raven yelped in pain when Stone left deep claw marks in his stomach. "Get off!" Stone howled and pushed Raven off. He leaped onto the other wolf and held him down before he could run off.
"What are you doing here? What do you want?" Stone asked shoving his muzzle in Ravens face until he submitted. Raven stayed on the ground but his eyes were furious. "Your Alpha killed my brother. I want revenge."But before Stone could say anything else Raven jumped up and ran into the forest.
He didn't know what to make of it. Obviously River-pack were still out for a fight. And now Raven wants revenge on his brother, which makes everything worse. Pain prickled in his scruff and he duck his head under in the stream. It was far away enough that his patrol couldn't see that he was hurt. After cleaning out his wound he fluffed out his fur to make the bite marks not noticeable.
Heading back to the patrol he saw that they were done cleaning up. "Lets hunt on the way back home."He nodded to Silver and her and Oak went one way while him and Owl went another. Suddenly remembering the mouse he caught he quickly barked  "I caught something back there earlier, why don't you go ahead and ill meet up with you?" Owl nodded and sped off. Stone didn't want Owl to smell the scent of the other wold. He gathered the mouse and caught a squirrel on the way back to Owl.
The white wolf caught a rabbit and a raven. Stone growled satisfied when he saw the raven. That's what he was going to do to the black wolf if he even tried to hurt Aliac. Stone flicked his tail and they soon caught up with silver. With a nod of his head the patrol headed home.
