Broken Alpha (Book 1 of the Broken Wolves series)

Aliac

They have been walking for another moon. Aliac didnt know what to do. She wanted so bad to lead her pack to the safety of The Rocks, but she didnt know where to go. Ice walked up to her and said “Aliac... Im sorry to ask this but if we cant find The Rocks then shouldnt we look for someplace else?” Aliac looked at her and saw how tired she was. The journey took all of their energy and was making them vaulnerable. If they didnt find a place to live soon they would all die. “I know. We might have to but I cant stop thinking that The Rocks would be the saftest place away from the River-pack.” Aliac said. Ice nodded and said “I think that to but we cant keep walking. We need to find The Rocks soon or we wont make it.” Aliac nodded and added “Then we will take another week to try and find The Rocks. If we cant find them then we will look for another place.” Ice nodded and bowed her head. She sat down next to Aliac and said “I just dont want to lose anyone else. Especially not you.” Aliac looked at her and said “You wont. I promsie.” 

After they rested for a while Aliac motioned for them to keep moving. They walked for hours at a time only resting for a few minutes. When it was beginning to get dark they stopped for the night and Kludd and Stone went hunting. Aliac rested in the middle as Mouse and Ice formed a circle with Namara and Snow to protect Aliac. When Stone and Kludd came back Eva helped them give out squirrles and rabbits. After they ate the small pack went to sleep.

The next day Aliac led them up a hill and across the field. When they came to the trees Aliac noticed that they were walking on rocks. She got excited and she motioned for her pack to follow her. She ran forward and when she stopped she saw that they made it. They finally made it to The Rocks! Aliac let out a howl of happiness and said “We made! Look over their!” She pointed with her muzzle. Just as she was about to make sure it was safe a group of River-pack wolves walked out and snarled at her. Ice and Stone ran in front of her and Mouse stayed with Namara and Snow, and Silver, Kludd and Eva stood on each side of Aliac. “What do you want!?” a large reddish wolf, clearly the leader, stepped forward. Aliac said calmly “We have come in peace. What are you doing here? Dont you have your own territory?” A big gray male wolf walked and stood next to the their leader. “We have tooken over The Rocks. Ever since you and your pathetic pack left we knew that would be the place you would choose.” he snarled and added “And we will fight for it if we have to.” He stepped forward and growled. Ice jumped in front of Aliac and snarled “You will not touch her!” she said glaring at him. “What, she cant fight her own battles. Is she too weak?” the River-pack alpha taunted. “No. She just has a very over protective deputy.” Ice growled, her fur bristling with anger. 

The large gray male jumped at Ice and they started to fight. The other River-pack wolves jumped and fought with Kludd and the rest of Sky-Pack. Aliac looked around confused. Just as she was about to help Mouse protect Namara and Snow the Alpha of River-pack lunged at her and tossed her to the side. Aliac groweled and stood up. She jumped on the red wolf and bit him. Hearing him howl in pain she bit him harder. Aliac groweld and with all her energy she forced him off her. He jumped again but Stone grabbed him and slammed into the ground. Kludd and Eva attacked him and Stone said “Go help Mouse!” Aliac nodded and ran to where Mouse was fighting off a large black wolf. Aliac jumped on it and shook him off.

She bit his throat just hard enough to hurt. The black wolf yelped in pain then ran into the woods.

Aliac turned and looked frantically for Ice. When she couldnt find her she ran to the nearest wolf and groweled so fiercely that the wolf turned tail and ran. Then she caught a glimpse of white. Ice was fighting with the large male that threatened them. Filled with rage she ran to them hoping she could force him off. But then Ice howeled in pain. She backed away slowly blood pouring down her face. There was a hole where her right eye should have been. 

Alaic was furiouse. But when she went to help her she was trampled with wolves. The whole River-pack was on her trying to kill her. Aliac played dead.
