When a person inflicts pain onto another, their soulmate is inflicted with the same pain.

You were fed up of this.
Every day you'd wake up with more cuts and bruises all over your body because of your stupid soulmate. Didn't he realise that he was causing you pain?
You got out of bed and groaned, a dull ache ripping through your body as you walked out of your room to go downstairs and get yourself some breakfast.
You entered the kitchen and were met with a frown from your mother. "y/n, what the hell has happened to your face?"
"It's him again, mum, he must be a boxer or something I swear to god" you said before plopping down in one of the kitchen chairs and wincing at the pain that shot through your coccyx.
He must have thrown someone down on their ass. Dickhead.
Your mother sighed before she reminded you to take some pain killers once you'd eaten. You nodded and started to eat the toast that she'd made you, which was random but nice all the same.

When you got into school, you felt a lot of eyes on you. Everyone was whispering, wondering what you could have possibly done over the weekend to get your face smashed up so badly.
You tried to ignored the stares you were getting but it was proving hard to do as you walked through the hostile ground that was your school's courtyard.
I swear when I meet you, soulmate, you're going to get the biggest slap ever.
You eventually found y/f/n and walked up to her, smiling. "Jesus y/n what the fuck happened to your face?!" She asked, dropping her smile.
"Shhh!" you turned quickly to see a few eyes on you before you said "not here, come with me"
You lead y/f/n round the back of the school then started to explain.
"It's my soulmate. I've been waking up with bruises and cuts for ages now, almost every single night there's a new one, and I don't know what to do about it" you explained, running a hand through your hair and then wincing when your fingers came into contact with a bump on your head.
"Is he like a boxer or something?" y/f/n asked.
"How should I know?"
"Well I just thought that maybe you'd have asked him."
"I haven't talked to him" you stated, earning a look of disbelief from y/f/n. "What?"
"y/n, what's wrong with you? Every girl in our year dreams of the time that they become 16 so they can finally message their soulmate. You've been 16 for three months now, how have you not messaged him?!" y/f/n asked, manically flailing her limbs as she spoke.
"Why should I invest my time in getting to know the asshole who obviously doesn't care if I get smashed to pieces?" you asked, crossing your arms and raising your eyebrow.
"Just talk to him. Who knows, maybe he'll stop if you ask"
"Doubt it" y/f/n gave you a look and you huffed
"Fine, I'll talk to him. Happy?"
"Ecstatic" she replied, before the bell rang.
