10:27 pm
The girl sat on the edge of the cliff, her legs dangling down as she watched the sea which looked like it went on forever.
The sun was setting in the horizon, and it looked as if it were sinking into the sea.
Sunlight hit the sky, making it turn a beautiful orange and red colour, which was catching on the clouds that were glowing with the dying sunlight.
10:32 pm
The girl was staring down at her red converse, her legs dangling over the edge, loving the way it looked like she was a giant who could easily walk through the sea, a bit like a powerful person who could easily walk through the struggles of life.
10:34 pm
The girl was shocked when not only could she see her red converse, but saw another pair of black ones fall next to hers, the legs of the person clad in black skinny jeans.
She didn't look up at the person... She was leaving soon anyway.
10:37 pm
Who was this person?
Had somebody come to tell her how important she was to them?
Did somebody she knew actually care enough about her to talk her out of it?
She'd only know if she looked up, but something was telling her they weren't.
10:40 pm
"I used to come here as a kid. I used to watch the waves crash against the rocks beneath my feet. I used to wish I could just jump off and start flying towards the horizon. But now I'm just a cliffhanger" she heard a boy's voice speak, and didn't know what to say in return.
10:43 pm
"I used to come here with some pebbles. I'd throw them off the edge and watch until they hit the water, or at least try to. When I got older, I brought things I wanted - needed - to get rid of. Photographs of people who'd drifted and forgotten, friendship necklaces that had lost the other half, letters that had lost all the love from their words. But now I'm just a cliffhanger" the girl spoke.
10:48 pm
The sun had faded now, only leaving the last few splashes of colour on the sky. It did that a lot in the summer - leaving an imprint of what it was, after it'd already gone.
10:51 pm
"How long have you been sat here?" She heard the boy ask.
"Since midnight last night. I've given myself a day to convince myself to go back, or for someone to find me and tell me that I'm worth more than I think I am to them. Obviously, neither has happened"
The two let silence take over again.
10:57 pm
The girl believed she shouldn't look at the boy - it was just another face that would be lost in her memories, however, curiosity got the better of her.
