He grabbed my hand, pulled me to the front door, and walked out. Stepping outside, we walked toward an opening in a brick wall that surrounded his house-whoops, never mind , scratch that- his castle. Once we passed through the walls, he suddenly jerked to the right, almost giving me whiplash.

Then, in the distance, I could just make out the shape of a large black building. As we got closer I noticed that the building looked like a classic courthouse with columns flanking it's entrance. From my viewpoint I could see a seemingly endless line of people exiting the building and disappearing in between two mountains. We kept walking towards it and before I knew it, we were inside the courthouse.

The demeanor of the place was tense and serious. I was just about to ask him a question, but he placed his pointer finger in front of my lips, stopping me from saying anything. He dragged me a bit deeper into the place until we were in a big room with a raised desk and three men who looked like judges, sitting behind it. In front of those three men, was a woman who looked like she could be in her late thirties. I inspected her closely and noticed her skin was a very pale, almost translucent like a ghost. Before I could ask about that, I was again interrupted, not by Hades, but by one of the judges.

"Okay, we have gone through your past life. The good and the bad, we have weighed them out and have decided where you shall go reside for the rest of eternity." he paused before continuing. "In your previous life, you were a pediatric nurse correct?" she nodded, he went on. "You helped around and worked very hard, and was respectful to everyone around you. You donated to charity and the sick. You had a husband that treated you well and loved you very much and vice versa. But you had two significant sins in your past life. First sin; you snorted cocaine at sixteen for one year before quitting. Second; you had a friend, she considered you her best friend and you considered her a casual friend. She told you she was depressed and you brushed it off thinking it wasn't really serious, she committed suicide thinking no one cared for her, this was at age sixteen."

She looked down in shame, a couple of tears fell from the woman's eyes. " I know I don't deserve any mercy, so I am okay with whatever place you have in store for me," she said surely.

"Very well then, we have have determined your fate. Minos, would you like to do the honor?" he asked.

"Gladly," Minos replied. "You are to be sent to the Fields of Asphodel," Minos finished as she vanished into thin air.
