I stand in front of the double doors leading outside to the garden, where I will walk down the aisle. My feet were glued to the floor, my body paralyzed with fear. Since Zeus is my father, he will walk down with me and hand me to Hades. I wanted to stay rooted at this spot forever.  But I had no choice, if I ever wanna see my mother, I must go through this. I asked Hades if my mother was attending but he said no, something about how busy she was with the vegetation. Oh well, I will see her later on. I was pulled out of my thoughts by my father.

"We have to walk now," he took my hand as the doors opened (don't know how). I heard the orchestra begin playing the wedding march. We walk a little before we appear in front of the white cloth rolled out to the altar, and everyone stands up and turns to me.

My heart beats even faster and my hands are slightly shaking, father was rubbing my hand in a comforting way, but I ignore that. He stood there in a tux that fit him snugly and had his hair styled, he looked good, as always. While I was busy gawking at him, I didn't notice that he had his mouth open with wide eyes scanning every inch of my body. I finally shook out of my trance and notice him staring at me, and start blushing like crazy. I hate how I feel around him.

I finally got to the edge of the altar and stepped up on the same platform as Hades, while gently letting go of my father's arm. Hera was going to be the minister for us since she is the Goddess of marriage and all that.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of these witnesses, to join Hades and Persephone in matrimony, commended to be honorable among all; and therefore is not to be entered lightly but reverently, passionately, lovingly and solemnly. Into this - these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace," Hera spoke.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Aphrodite standing up but was quickly pulled back down by her husband. Yeah, you better sit back down, damn, she's making me hate her even more. Hera continued  talking about things that didn't really matter to me.

Finally, she got to the important part, "Persephone and Hades, the vows that you are about to make are a way to share your love and commitment to each other in your own words. Sometimes poems, verses and quotes just don't get the point across the way you need them to and the best option is just to do it yourself. These vows are your way of openly declaring your promise to one another as well as to all of those who are here in attendance today," damn it, I totally forgot about the vows. I'll just make it up in the spot, "Hades' first."

"I, Hades, promise to take you, Persephone,  as you are,  loving who you are now and who you are yet to become. I promise to listen to you and learn from you, to support you and accept your support. I will celebrate your triumphs and mourn your losses as though they were my own. I will love you and have faith in your love for me, through all our years and all that life may bring us," he took a deep breath before continuing.

"I will love you unconditionally and without hesitation. I vow to love you, encourage you, trust you, and respect you. As a family, we will create a home filled with learning, laughter, and compassion. I promise to work with you to foster and cherish a relationship of equality knowing that together we will build a life far better than either of us could imagine alone. Today, I choose you to be my wife. I accept you as you are, and I offer myself in return. I will care for you, stand beside you, and share with you all of life's adversities and all of its joys from this day forward, and all the days of my life," I couldn't help cheekily grin, his words touched my heart. Now, it's my turn to play along.

"I, Persephone, take you, Hades, to be my husband, my friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward," his eyes were sparkling as I finished that sentence, "in the presence our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to love and to cherish, from this day forward until death do us part," I think I did pretty good on that part, because I see Hades smiling widely across from me.

"Persephone and Hades will now exchange rings to symbolize their commitment," Hera said. My maid of honor, Artemis, handed me a small box.

"Here is the ring you have to give to Hades, I had Hephaestus make one because I knew you couldn't get one," Artemis whispered in my ear quickly.

"I totally forgot, thank you so much," I whispered back, she is actually a good maid of honor.

"Hades, please take Persephone's hand and repeat these words, I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love..."

"I give you this ring, as a symbol of our love," Hades pronounced without tearing his eyes away from mine.

"For today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come," Hera said.

"For today and tomorrow, and for all the days to come," he repeated as my heart skips a beat.

"Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day,"

"Wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day," again, my heart skips a beat.

"And know that my love is present,"

"And know that my love is present," my palms are sweaty, and I feel little butterflies in my stomach-I don't like it.

"Even when I am not."

"Even when I am not." He takes a velvet box out, opens it and a big diamond ring surrounded by medium sized diamonds around it and an intricate design on the rim, sat in the middle of the box. He placed it on my ring finger on my left hand. He pulled out another box.

"This is an eternity ring, to symbolize never ending love," he took out the ring, it was a mini golden crown shaped ring, with tiny diamonds wrapping around the ring. He put it on my ring finger on my right hand, cause I already have an engagement and wedding ring on my left one.  I was speechless, these rings look so expensive.

"Persephone, please take Hades' hand and repeat these words," Hera looked to me and I nodded.

I  turned my attention to Hera and repeated them, not knowing if I mean them or not.

I totally understand if some of you are concerned about her marrying her and uncle, I would be too if this wasn't Greek Mythology. They don't have the restrictions us humans have with family members, though I think they would find it weird to marry their own father/mother (hopefully).
