This is my first book, so it will probably be cheesy and have grammar errors, sorry. Anyways, this book is based on Greek mythology, basically kind of how Hades and his wife met but in a modernized version. The "facts" in may or may not be real, I added my own twist to it. This book came from my imagination, I didn't copy from another book, I hope. If there is a book similar to this, I promise that it was not on purpose. Now that's said, enjoy reading.

The sun absolutely hates me, I kept repeating in my head.
"Can I stop now, it's so hot," I beg.
"No, the workers have already left for the day and I have no one else to help me," my mother says as she finished planting some flowers and took a seat. I silently mocked her before going back to work in the scorching heat.
"I don't understand why I have to do this," I grumbled underneath my breath.
When I was finally done, I dashed inside the house and headed upstairs into the bathroom. I stripped out of my sweaty clothes and turned on the shower, setting it to cold. I stepped inside the freezing water, it took a while to get use to it but I managed. I turned the knob off, I dried myself and slid some shorts and a tank top on.
"Persephone, dinner's ready, come down now," I heard my mother yell from downstairs.
"I'm coming," I replied, still a bit angry.
As I walked into the dinning room, I immediately forgave my mother once I saw the food. It was my favorite, steak with mushrooms and loaded mash potatoes on the side. I inhaled deeply, savoring the delicious smell of the food. I sat down next to my mother and we held hands while I said a little prayer " bless this food in front of us," then I attacked the food on my plate.
"Geesh, slow down or you're gonna choke," my mother said chuckling, amusement flashing in her eyes. I slowly chewed my food and took a sip of water to swallow it down. I couldn't help it, I loved my food.
"Sorry, I forgot my manners," I shyly replied, and went back to eating.
When I finished my food, I collected the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. I told my mother goodnight and headed upstairs to my bedroom. It's a pretty big room with a bathroom, walk in closet and a king sized bed. My room is pretty neat, if you just ignore the books and dirty clothes scattered on the floor.
I have half of my bedroom wall covered in paint, I get really bored sometimes. I'm pretty proud of it though, one side has music notes and lyrics painted on every inch of the wall. The other side is just doodles of disney characters and colorful designs, just pretty random stuff altogether. I sighed and took out my phone, turning on my playlist which started with 'Where did my baby go' by John Legend . I plopped myself onto my bed and crawled under the sheets, slowly drifting off to sleep.
I didn't know it then, but that was my last normal day.
