Edd's POV

"Tis' the season." I say to myself looking out at the 'winter wonderland' that is now my backyard. Walking into my closet I look for an outfit suitable for this weather. After a few moments I settle upon a green cable knit sweater, and faded pair of skinny jeans.

Suddenly, my phone beeps sending me into a short lived panic. Assuming it is Kevin I open the text, and see it is actually from Eddy.

"Me and Ed miss you. Lunch today?" The text reads, causing an aching feeling in my heart. Reflecting upon this school year, I know that I have been neglectful in terms of attention towards my friends.

"Sounds like a plan :)" I text back quickly, resuming my morning routine. After a few more minutes, I see that it is 7:15 and I need to hurry if I want to meet Kevin before school.

Taking in a final glance of my room, I rush out the door and hurry on my way to school.

Kevin's POV

Staring at the clock, I am worried a bit that I won't be able to see Edd this morning. Walking away from our locker, I hear a quiet voice approaching me.

"Kevin, wait up." The out of breath voice calls behind me.

"There you are Double Dee, you had me thinking that I wasn't gonna see you." I say casually, rubbing his beanie covered head.

"Sorry, I just had a lot on my mind this morning and lost track of time." Leaning down, I quickly peck his lips and hug him. I hate the fact that I only get to hold him for a couple more seconds.

"Try and have a good morning Kevin, I will see you after school?" Edd says in his usual soft, caring voice.

"I will try."

Edd's POV

When lunch rolls around, I wait patiently for Ed, and Eddy. After a couple of minutes of pacing by myself, they approach me.

"Hey Double Dee." Ed says in his typical nonchalant voice.

"Salutations Ed and Eddy."

"Are you ready to go?" Eddy asks, his eyes gleaming. I simply nod in response, scanning the lunchroom I see Kevin sitting by his friends. It comforts me knowing that he will survive without me. Without another word, all three of us exit the lunchroom and out into the bright, white snow.

"How's your lover boy." Eddy asks, breaking the silence that fell between us.

"Kevin is great, how about you fellows have you had any luck with the ladies."

"I just ate out Becca from my Chemistry class last night!" Eddy practically squeals, causing me to cringe slightly.

"Oh, Eddy you have always had an insatiable appetite for girls." I retort, jokingly. Although I do not necessarily want to hear about my childhood friend's sexual escapades, I want to be supportive and act like I care.

"You can say that again." Ed snorts, hearing his goofy laugh again warms my heart. It has been too long since I have had alone time with my best friends. I need to make more time for people who are important, besides Kevin.

It's just so hard balancing everything on my tiny shoulders.
