The next morning I woke up and expected everything to be just as normal as it was every other day. I just hoped that everything that supposedly happened the other day was just some twisted dream and now everything would be back to normal.

But sadly everything you hope for does not come true, which is another lesson I learned.

As I walked downstairs everything felt eerily quiet except for the T.V in the kitchen, which for some reason was blasting. Something was wrong and I just knew it, and I found myself instinctively reaching for my new necklace. Because this thing was supposed to protect me and I had a feeling I would need it. As I got closer to the kitchen I smelled something burning so I ran in and turned off the stove. When I looked into the pan I saw my dad's signature breakfast, 3 eggs over medium. Except these eggs were burned to a crisp.

When I walked over to the sink to get rid of the pan I realized that I was walking on something sticky and wet. I just assumed it was like orange juice, but it sure as hell wasn't. I looked down to see the bottom of my feet coated in a deep red liquid that had spread footprints all over our small kitchen. I nearly fainted at the sight of all this blood, but I am the daughter of two doctors so I didn't faint I immediately sprung into action.

Obviously I thought the worse, I mean who wouldn't. That was shit load of blood and I didn't think anyone could survive that much blood loss. So I hesitantly followed the large blood trail into the dining room and finally into the living room. There, I saw my mom and dad sitting as though they were just watching T.V. Except they weren't watching T.V  they were sitting there slumped over with their throats slashed, and there was a message written on the wall behind them. But I crumpled to the floor before I could even read it.

None of this was ever supposed to happen and it was all Masons fault.

He did this to me.

He did this to my family.

And I would never forgive him.

I laid there in a small ball on the floor crying at the feet of my parents, something I never thought would happen. But there is no happy ending,  and I was just  to naive to see it yet . I stayed there for hours hoping that I would get up and they would be off at work and I would be at school with Mason.

But when I finally got up all I saw were their bloody faces and a message smeared in dry blood behind them. It read...

"THERE IS NO HAPPY ENDING SO TURN AROUND"

I did as the message said, because I knew there was no one there.

I was wrong.
