There Is No Happy Ending

Part 18

Kat's POV:

After the news that Mason's brother was not the worst of our problems I was super depressed 'cause I thought we would finally be in the clear and that this could be our opportunity to be together despite everything else that had happened. God, was I wrong.

Apparently our major problem was that in the kingdom, which was called the Southern Kingdom, (creative I know) there was this council of elders that could possibly banish both of us... that is if they were to find out. So obviously the goal would be to NOT let them find out.

But all things considered, if Mason's brother was a test drive of our so called plan then we were completely and utterly screwed.

"Ummm... Mason.."

"Huh?"

"Well I was just wondering... like realistically what is the plan here? Because so far the 'improv' approach is not working for me. And another thing what the hell happened in there? I mean with the whole like mind control type thingy. Since when were you able to do that to me. Wait, have you always been doing that... was that how you got me to fall in love with you. If that's true I swear to God I'll-"

"Shhh shh... Kat you're doing that thing again."

"Wh-what thing?"

"That adorable thing you do when you start talking and thinking at the same time, which eventually turns into a full blown rant. God, you're adorable."

I playfully shoved him as I said "Shut up you dork."

"Nope."

"Ughhhh you suck..."

"And you swallow Kitty Kat."

"Wow Mason, even as a vampire your come-backs are bad."

He chuckled and responded to that with a very well deserved kiss.

Mason's POV:

She was so beautiful and every time we had these little arguments it made me love her more... but if I truly loved her as much as I thought I did then why couldn't I bring myself to tell her the truth. If I really cared about her I wouldn't keep changing the subject when she asked about the quote-on-quote "mind control type thingy".

Okay so since this is already eating me up inside and you guys are probably the only ones who won't blab I'm gonna tell you about the "mind control type thing"... but if you tell Kat I swear on everything you believe in, that I'll make you wish you had never been born.

Anyways, back to the "mind control type thingy". So in very VERY simple terms... the reason I can control Kat's mind is because I now own her. Now you may take a moment to mentally go through everything that has happened so far and try to piece together what the hell I'm talking about. And for those of you who decide your too fucking lazy for that I'm just gonna tell you.

So basically when I turned Kat she became my slave. And don't kill me guys you know I had to do it and I don't want her to be my slave, but that's just how it works when a royal vampire turns a human. But then again it might be possible that Kat isn't my slave because she isn't technically all human.

Well I don't know, whatever. I'll deal with explaining that to her later but right now we have to deal with my brother and that fucking elder council which basically threatens to destroy both of us.

Super fun, right?
