There Is No Happy Ending

Part 9

Just a quick note to you guys.

Mason's POV:

This was it I thought, we were finally gonna be together in the way I wanted. I had waited so long for this and it was becoming increasingly harder to stop from biting her right there, as she laid completely exposed before me. As I continued to touch her, I saw her back arch as she moaned my name. She did this exposing her neck and I knew this was the only chance I would get. As I started to hover closer to Kat's neck she seemed to almost read my mind because she slid away from me and face planted on the floor.

Damn these silk sheets....

Right as she hit the ground she popped back up and ran to put on some clothes. I honestly didn't know why she wouldn't just let me bite her, didn't Kat already know she was changing. The more I waited, the more dangerous it became for her and I didn't want to risk that. So I climbed off the bed slipping on my pair of pants and said, "Kat are you okay? What happened?". She seemed terrified, I couldn't believe that she would ever be afraid of me. But here she was shaking and backing away from me and trying her hardest not to cry.

"Kat I have to do this now before its too late, you are putting yourself in more danger by postponing this".

Kat said "I-I-I can't it's too soon and I'm too young....". Did she seriously think I was talking about us having sex? I mean that is obviously important to me, but if she is a virgin I want her first time with me to be special. I needed to explain what I really meant so i said "Kitty Kat, that's not what I'm talking about. Do you feel any different than you did the day I gave you that necklace?"

She just stared at me and then back to her necklace. Kat said "I don't feel any different, but why would I. I just want you to tell me what is going on".

In that moment I realized that I had no other option but to tell her what I did. So I cleared my throat and spoke. "Kitty Kat, I know this is going to be difficult. And I need you to know that the only reason I did what I did was to keep you safe. So.....".

"What did you do to me?", she asked with hate in her voice.

"I-I-I-I... I turned you."

"You what? What the hell do you mean by 'you turned me'. Huh-huh- what the hell does it mean".

"You know that I am a vampire now and so I have the ability to turn you into one also. But I did not bite you. That's probably why you don't feel different. I did not completely turn you but the process has already begun".

After getting it out there, I immediately regretted what I did. I knew that necklace was a bad idea, but I had no choice. I had to protect her, I loved her. But it should have been her choice. I just prayed that she could someday forgive me.
