Zelda's P.O.V

The serpent attacked almost instantly. Quickly it snapped its jaws at me. I kept low and avoid the beast's strikes by rolling out of the way. I was attentive to the baby as I tried not to hurt him with any intense movements. The snake was fast and did not let up on its attacks. I dug through my pouch to find a smoke bomb. I quickly struck it against the ground and let it catch before I threw it on the ground. Quickly a puff of smoke exploded. I was hidden from view as the smoke filtered through the room. I used this cover as an offensive and attacked. I grabbed one of my throwing knives and quickly climbed the back of the snake. I struck it just behind the head. It screamed in pain as I dug the knife deeper into its head. It squirmed and thrashed until it fell to the ground and died. I jumped off of its back and walked towards the front of the serpent's head to grab the stone. I took it off of it's head and placed in into my pouch. "That wasn't too bad." I laughed as I looked at the serpents corpse. I was rather proud of myself for defeating such a beast, yet at the same time I worried for the state of the child within me. "I have to be more careful." I told myself. Almost just as I had said the that ground began to shift and the sand seemed to grab onto my legs. "Quick sand?!" I exclaimed as I began to sink into the sand. "Oh no! Think fast Zelda!" I told myself as I dug through my pouch. I found a Kusarigama, or in other words a knife chain. I swung it around above my head to give it some momentum as I threw it towards the opening in the ceiling. It latched onto the ledge and gave me a chance to pull myself out of the quick sand. I climbed up the chain until I reach the opening in the ceiling and climbed through it. I was back into the room where Link found the masks. I sighed in relief as I reeled my knife chain back up through the hole. I put the Kusarigama back into my pack and fished out the spirit stone. It was small yet intricate. A large, green emerald was in the center of the piece while the border was traced in a gold lining. "Its beautiful." I thought to myself. I then carefully secured it inside my pouch and then made my way back to the temple's entrance. When I came back outside Skull Kid was nowhere to be found. "Great. How else am I supposed to find my way out of these woods." I groaned. I began walking, and walking until I finally found a clearing. It felt like hours until I saw a dirt road. I followed it until I found Ordon, Link's home. I thought of Link for a moment. I missed him and worried about him even more. I wandered into farther down the path until I reached Link's house. I walked towards the front door and peered inside. No one appeared to be home. "Hey what do you think you're doing?!" A voiced shouted. I turned to see it was four children. A little girl and three other boys to be exact. "Um nothing." I stated. "Doesn't look like nothing to me." One of the boys stated. "Who are you?" another one asked. "Let's start with your names, perhaps?" I inquired. "I'm Beth." The little girl stated. She appeared to be the oldest amongst the children, while the three boys seemed younger. One was blonde and pale, the other had brown hair and wore a red bandanna around his head, while the youngest boy wore a classic Ordonian robe that was far too big for him. "I'm Talo." The boy with the red bandanna stated. "And I'm Malo." The youngest stated. "What about you?" I inquired to the blonde boy. "I-I'm Colin." He struggled. "Now tell us who you are." Talk demanded. "My name is Sheik. I'm a friend of Link's." I explained. All of the children suddenly lit up at the mention of Link's name. "You know Link?!" Beth questioned. "I do. We are close friends actually." I stated. "We haven't seen him in forever!" Malo exclaimed. "He's been so busy working for the Queen and all." Talo added. "He's the captain of her majesty's guard!" Colin corrected. "Same thing!" Talo barked. "If you're looking for him you won't find him here." A voice stated from behind the children. I looked towards the figure to see it was a young woman. She was close to me in age, and app read to be annoyed with my presence. "Ilia, she says she's friends with Link." Colin explained. "I'm Sheik." I stated. "Ilia." She introduced. "C'mon kids get back to your chores before your parents find out you're missing." Ilia scolded. All four of the children groaned in unison. "It was nice meeting you Sheik." Colin stated as they all scurried off towards the village. "So you're friends with Link huh?" Ilia inquired. "Yes." I answered. "Have you seen him lately?" She asked. "I have." I answered. I wasn't sure what this girl was getting at but something told me she had a thing for Link. Jealously filled me like a pit in my stomach. "Has he ever mention me to you?" She asked. "Nope." I stated flatly. "Oh. Did he say if he would come and visit us anytime soon." She asked. "Not sure." I snapped. I suddenly lost any interest in speaking to her. "Well when you see him again, can you relay a message to him for me?" She asked. "Sure." I said. "Can you tell him that I miss him. That we all miss him, and that he should come and visit more often." Ilia stated. "I'll be sure to tell him." I promised. "Thank you." Ilia thanked. "Well I should get going. I have chores and what not. It was nice meeting you." She spoke as she turned and left as well.  I turned towards Link's house again and recalled the memories I shared with him here. This is where he took me after he rescued from the massacre within Hyrule Castle. I smiled at the thought of him and I sitting by the fire place and talking. Suddenly something grasped at my arms. I wriggled and attempted to look behind me to see who had grabbed me but its grip was too strong. "Miss me?" The voice inquired. I didn't need to turn around to figure out who it was I could tell by his voice that it was Link.
