Patrick's POV

Brendon's office is being painted today. He says lilac will give the room a "calm vibe", so Brendon's just been hanging around the cafeteria all day, playing cards with Ryan.

Pete's gone to play some music with Joe in the courtyard. I can see them through the window and Joe's laughing his ass off as something Pete probably said. They're having a good time.

I get a knock on the door and its Andy.

"Hey, Patrick i'm gonna meet Pete and Joe outside. We're gonna be playing some music, want to play with us?" He said looking at my guitar.

"Um.. No thanks, I don't really play in front of people,"

"You sure? I got my egg shaker," he said while holding up a blue egg shaker and rattling it. I smiled and laughed a little.

"It's okay, Andy, you go jam without me,"

"Alright, if you change your mind, your welcome to join us," he said and he eagerly left to go outside.

I look out the window again. I see Andy tell Pete something and Pete gets up from the grass and leaves to go inside. Andy sits down with Joe and starts to drum on a book while Joe plays.

Literally, less than a minute later Pete bursts through the bedroom door.

"Patrick, pleeease come play with us, you gotta show the other guys your voice,"

"I can't,"

"Yeah you can, dude,"

"I can't sing in front of people,"

"Please, I really think they would love it, I know I sure do,"

I really was thinking about this one. I don't know if it's a good idea. What if they laugh? What if they think voice sounds stupid? What am I thinking, my voice does sound stupid.

"..okay," shit, why did I say that.

"Thank you, Patrick you're awesome. I'll grab your guitar for you," he said and he picked up my guitar. "I like the stickers by the way,"

"Thanks," I said

Crap, what have I gotten myself into.

Pete's POV

Yes! I finally get to hear his voice again. And this time, the other guys will get hear it too and see one of the reasons why I love him so much.

I grab Patrick's hand and lead him outside. He seemed kinda reluctant. As soon as we got to the glass door of the courtyard, he stopped in his tracks.

"I don't know if I want to do this anymore," he said.

"Patrick it's okay, we're your friends,"

He didn't say a word and we walked outside

"Hey guys! Patrick's gonna sing us a song," I practically yelled.

"Awesome! You changed your mind," Andy says.

"Something like that," Patrick says.

We sit down on the grass next to Andy and Joe. I give Patrick his guitar and he sets it on his lap, in a ready position. He doesn't play though, he just keeps looking at the guitar and back at me.

"Patrick, come on," Joe says. Andy nudges him a bit.

"He's nervous," Andy whispers, trying not to let Patrick hear. He smiles at him, letting him know he's good to start.

He starts to strum his guitar, starting with a catchy riff.

"I'm sleeping my way out of this one, with anyone who'll lie down..."
