Patrick's POV

I woke up, expecting to be at my moms house in the comfort of my own bed, but instead woke up to someplace foreign. I was shocked for a moment before I recollected my memories of yesterday. Petes still asleep, across the room from me.

I check the clock to see that it was only six in the morning. I'm not even tired, so I don't go back to sleep. I just sit there on the edge of my bed, and I see Pete. He looks so peaceful when he's asleep. So I watch him for a bit, until I do get tired and fall back asleep.

Petes POV

This morning I woke up actually feeling okay. It's been a while since I've been this way. But you know with people like me I could fall back any second.

I look over at Patrick's guitar. It's got old stickers of various musicians on it. MJ, Prince, Bowie, I can tell he's an 80s baby.

I head over to the bathroom to take a shower. I shut the door and strip down, turn on the faucet and jump in. I always use my time in the shower to think, but normally start thinking too deep and fall back. It's a habit I should break, but I never learn.

I got dressed in a hoodie and skinny jeans and come out to see Patrick just waking up.

"Hey dude, good morning," I tell him.

He yawns, making a small noise while doing so. "Good morning,"

"So Patrick, I got some friends here i'd like to introduce to you before breakfast, mind if we drop by and say hello?"

"Sure, let me just get cleaned up." He said and started towards the bathroom, tripping on his own foot a little, but pretending like nothing happened. He's so awkward, but in a cute way.

Patrick's POV

Friends? I'm thinking to my self in the shower, kind of getting nervous too. But I woke up today feeling pretty okay. So maybe today won't be so dramatic. But you never know.

I wonder what Petes friends are like? Are they all like him? Choppy dyed hair, eyeliner, hoodies and black skinny jeans? Or are they totally opposite? I'll find out soon enough.

I come out of the shower and wrap a towel around my waist. I brush my hair and teeth and then get dressed in a sweater and jeans. I put on my glasses and trucker hat that says "I love bingo" on it.

I walk out of the bathroom and see Pete playing a bass guitar. I didn't know he played.

"You play?" I said

"Uh, a little." He said, "I used to be in a band."

"Really? That's so cool, what was the name?"

"Arma Angelus," he said

"Oh cool, I've heard some of that stuff before, really good music, dude,"

"Thanks, man. You ready to go meet my homies? Breakfasts in the cafeteria. That's where we hang everyday,"

"I'm ready,"

"Okay let's go."

Petes POV

It was 8 in the morning and I was leading Patrick down to the cafeteria. He seemed pretty quiet, his glasses barely holding on to his nose as he looked down at the purple carpet. I decided to start some conversation to end the awkward silence.

"So I noticed you have a guitar too, you good at it?" I said.

"Well, I uh guess so. Maybe," he says kinda quietly.

I smiled,"Cool, can you show me a bit when we come back?"

"Sure, but I got an appointment with Dr. Urie after breakfast so maybe a little later."

Patrick's POV

"Joe, Andy, meet Patrick," Pete said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I shyly waved at them.

"Hi dude, what's up?" Joe said reaching his hand out to shake. Joe had brown curly hair, these big blue eyes, and honestly didn't look any older than me.

I shook his hand and smiled politely.

"Hi Patrick," Andy said and I shook his hand too. Andy had kinda longish brown hair, glasses, and he was just as tall as Pete.

"Sweet! Mini pancakes," Joe said as the lunch lady passed out breakfast. "Haven't had these in a while,"

We sat down at a table and enjoyed our breakfast. To be honest the food here isn't bad.

"So guys, guess what," Pete said. "Patrick plays the guitar,"

"Really dude? That's awesome! I play the guitar, too," Joe said. "And Andy can play the drums, it's like we could be a band or something,"

Andy smiled, "Except I left my kit at my house when I came here. Not like I'm gonna bring a loud ass drum kit to a psychiatric ward,"

"So is everybody here, like really into music?" I ask.

"Well I think we're the only music freaks here, except for Dr. Urie. He loves music too." Said Pete.

Speaking of Dr. Urie I gotta be at his office soon.

So we all finish up our food and the other guys head back to their rooms while I go to Dr. Urie's room.

I stare at the name plate on the door for a second. I wonder how this will go.

Authors note

Okay so I just realised that the age the band is in this, would mean that Brendon realistically would be like 15, so please just pretend he's older. Also thank you if you decided to continue reading, totally means a lot.
Have an awesome day :)
