Chapter 55: The Test of the Cave

Jay's P.O.V.

I called the guys with a little device that Paty and Nya made. It's good they're getting along better. When I called they said they would be here as soon as possible. We haven't get inside the came, we just stand in the entrance. Fair enough, while we waited, I hear Paty singing for herself, Cole is our music expert, but I know this song.

Heart attack, does she feel what she is singing? I have something to do with it? HA! I wish, someone so amazing wouldn't love me like that.

— But you make me wanna act like a girl... Paint my nails and wear high heels, yes you! Make me so nervous, that I just can't hold your hand. You make me gloooow... But I cover up, I won't let it show. So I'm puttin' my defenses up, 'cause I don't wanna fall in love. If I ever did that, I think I'd have a heart attaaaaaack —she sang.

I didn't interrupt, I just want to hear her voice, and dream that she would feel that for me. I know she accept going on a date with me, but I bet she felt pity. She'll never love me like I do. A silence distracted me of my thoughts.

— Jay?—she asked, her voice made me shiver, in a good way.

— Yes?— I asked.

—  Are you okay?—she asked.

— Yes I'm fine—I replied sadly.

— You don't look like it—she said.

She snuggled close to me, and plant a kiss on my cheek. I blushed. Alright Jay, do it you can do it. I lean towards her, slowly. When she placed her hands on my chest stopping me. I knew it.

— Jay, stop. Just stop—she said.

— I'm sorry. I just *sigh* I thought we... nevermind—I said.

— No, it's not what you think. It's just, this is my first kiss and...—she began.

— You want to have it with someone else—I finished.

— What? No, you are the one who I want to share my first kiss... but... I just, don't feel ready—she said.

— You, want to share it with me? Your fist kiss with... me? —I asked. That changes everything.

She blushed a bright pink, and turned around, not facing me. She nooded. I felt something warm on my chest.

— Too embarrassing? —I asked, she nodded again.

— I'm sorry I really want to kiss you too, but... —she began.

— You don't need to say it, its okay... I can wait until you feel ready, that way it would be really special for you —I said.

I began to stroke her hand  and she looked at me, the eyes that ones made me fall for a wounded girl, is now my only love. My impossible love. Then I began to hear voices, I recognized them all, the team was already here. Finally, I was getting bored, but we agreed that the ones that found the Cave of Fear should wait outisde it, so in case there was a trap, we could help each other out. Sensei Garmadon scolded us for going in pair instead of a trio, thanks goodness Sensei Wu changed the topic and congratulated us for finding the Cave. They asked us if we hadn't detected any trapped, before I could confess Paty came up with an answer, a version where instead of falling on the trap, I found it before SHE stepped on it. The true after that is that the rest of the place seem to be safe. Why would she lie to cover my clumsyness, making her look like the careless one? This girl is certainly a Mystery.

We get in the stone room, it was a temple of stone, with inscriptions in lenguages I've never see. None of us. I take that back, P.I.X.A.L. is already working on the decodiphication of the weird symbols. She said that each pillar had a key to unlock the power of light pure energy. Casually there were 16 pillars. So 1 of us shouldn't get the power of light. Paty and P.I.X.A.L. were the first to offer to skip. Beginning a whole debate of who should go and who doesn't and the reasons of that choice. In the end Ronin didn't get a pillar, he was really persuasive he give a really good point "I'm a thief, not a knight, I'll help, but not like this", so he just stared. We all (that includes the Senseis and Misako) got closer to a pillar. As soon as we touched them, they absorbed the color of our clothes. P.I.X.A.L.'s was a light purple, Erika's was a dark purple, Zai's was silver, Robin's was copper,Skylor's was orange, Nya was a pale red, Kai's pillar was a bright red, Zane's was white, Cole's was black,  Lloyd's was green, mine was blue, Miasko Sensei Wu and Garmadon's was golden. But Paty didn't changed, it remained on a dark stone grey.
