Chapter 64: Birds on a Cage

2 weeks later...

Paty and Lloyd can't get out of the Bounty under any circumstance, like trapped, and they can't be without at least one of the other ninjas, Nya, Ronin, Misako, or one of the Senseis. And it is pretty clear that they are both going insane. Lloyd is anxious during the day, and have nightmares during the night, all of being a prisioner of the Serpentine again. And Paty is absent all day, at least her mind seems to be far away of the Bounty the whole day, unless a certain blue ninja gets her back to earth.

And during nights, they can't sleep alone, since the idea of being kidnapped while everyone is sleeping. So Erika is sleeping on Lloyd's room, and Paty goes to Jay's room. Jay and Erika seem to enjoy their task of "night guard". Not that Paty and Lloyd don't want or don't like to spend more time with their couples. But unlike the Master of Lightining, or Illusion. They're trapped, and that's what they don't like, not at all.

The rest of the team is taking turns to install security cameras all over the city, in case the Overlord appears, but no one must stay out more than 20 minutes, as a security measure. Sensei Wu said that no one shouldn't try to track the Overlord, since he might try to do the same if they do. Everyone had to find a way to loose time....

Zane in cooking and playing minidroid chess with Jay. P.I.X.A.L. is into some investigation about the Overlord (online stuff, books, etc). Lloyd and Kai loose time in videogames. Jay in inventing and playing minidroid chess with Zane. Nya in upgrading her Samurai suit. Zai likes reading fanfics of 5SOS and watching Disney movies, Erika spends her time listening Fall Out Boy, and watching TMNT. Robyn spends a lot of time with Ronin, or learning Spinjitzu with Morro (since he never completed his training). Skylor is learing to control Erika's and Zai's power, and still trying to absorb the Magic Power of Paty...

Flashback... to the day Skylor and Paty met...

So, the Master of Magic was free of Morro's possession, she was glad to be back with her family. But she was pretty surprise to see a red hair girl in the team. Kai introduce the 2 girls.

— Alright... Paty, this —Kai let out a dreamy sigh— Skylor Chen, she is an Elemental Master too, Power of Absorption.

— Nice too meet you, Sky... I've read a lot about you... well of your mother...—Paty chuckled.

— What how?—Skylor asked, actually confused of that comment.

— Long story—Paty rolled her eyes with a smile.

— And Skylor... this is Paty Power, Master of Magic —Kai said.

— And her powers are so cool—Jay complimented, making Paty blush of embarassment.

— Magic huh?—Skylor asked— Nice to meet you Paty.

They were going to give a handshake, in which, Skylor was supposed to absorb her power. But as soon as their hands touched...

— AAAAH!!!!—both girls yelped in pain.

— You schocked me! —Skylor said.

— Me?! It was you!—Paty said, rubbing her hand.

— At least I have your Power—Skylor sighed.

She tried, but nothing. Skylor couldn't use that power, there was no Magic on her hands. No one noticed that when the girls got in contact, the little crystal of Paty's necklace began to glow and stopped as soon as they broke apart.

End of the Flashback

Paty on her side, can join the others, sometimes she dance on her room like on old times, or is with her face on a book. But most of the time, she is in outer space ,aybe humming as she walks on the halls of the Bounty but she rarely reacts to anyone, the girls usually have to snap their fingers on her nose to bring her back to earth. Jay is the only one who can "wake her up" easily. It's just a matter that he smiles in a spot that she can see him and like magic she reacts.
