When Kristin came home she immediately started playing Holiday Wishes. And just as expected she started crying. It felt like every song on the album had a special reason to be on there and Kristin felt like she was definitely reason for a lot of them. That's just stupid. She thought to herself. But as she replayed the album she remembered moments that her and Idina had together and the connections she saw before became clearer and clearer.

Do you hear what I hear? The song that her and Idina had listened to over and over again in their dressing rooms while they were in Wicked. Both of them admired Whitney Houston and decided that if they recorded a Christmas album one day Do you hear what I hear had to be on the song list. Kristin recorded the exact same song for A lovely way to spend Christmas a few years ago.

Baby it's cold outside.
Kristin almost laughed out loud while listening to it. But she felt a little jealous as well. Idina and her had constantly been singing it while running through the hallways of the Gershwin Theatre. After a while they started to annoy their cast mates who had sworn to never listen to it again because they'd become sick of it. But Idina and Kristin had backed off laughing. They never cared. Baby it's cold outside was THEIR song. Well, had been their song before Michael came around. Why hadn't Idina asked her to sing it with her?

What are you doing New Year's Eve?

Kristin's heart broke. Idina definitely sang this song to her. Without a special meaning behind it, she just felt it...

When You Wish Upon a Star

Kristin remembered herself telling Idina that it was the first song that she learned. Idina had told her that she didn't know the song but in reality all she'd wanted was to hear Kristin sing. Which was really really sweet.

White Christmas.

Kristin had a memory of her and Idina running through Central Park in December. When it came to snow both of them were little kids. They'd built a snowman together and had just enjoyed being together. When they'd decided that it was time to go to the theatre they heard White Christmas blasting from a loudspeaker in a store.

Kristin didn't really know what to do after Idina finished singing. She wanted to see her so badly. Hug her and tell her how much she loved her. Maybe she should take the next plane to L.A. to finally see If/Then. But was she really prepared?

Next chapter's probably gonna be about Idina. :)
