Idina wiped off her makeup and put her hair in a messy bun. She packed her bag, ready to leave. Then she took one last look in the mirror. She didn't like what she saw because she was just really tired and everybody could see it. The bags under her eyes were clearly noticeable.
Aaron asked her about it. He knew that something was up but the last thing Idina wanted was to explain to him what was going through her head.
"I'm unlucky in love. That's what it is," she thought to herself but pushed that thought to the back of her mind. "I'm in love with Aaron. We're happy."
Her phone made 'bing' and Idina reached out to see that she had received a message from Aaron. It said " I made dinner only for the two of us. Can't wait to see you later. I love and miss you!" Idina smiled. Aaron still made her feel some kind of way even though the thought of Kristin seemed to haunt her day and night. She took her phone and her bag and was just about to leave when she heard a knock at her door. "It's probably James who forgot his charger in here."

Idina opened the door to see a petite, very familiar looking blonde woman standing right in front of her. Idina's heart stopped beating for a second and she just stared at her old friend. "Kristin, " she said in a voice one octave too high.
" Idina," Kristin responded with a smile so bright that it seemed to fill the entire room with light and Idina's whole body with warmth.
Idina smiled back, not sure how to react to the surprise. She couldn't think of anything to say. Kristin broke the silence. "You were radiating! Idina you really are a star. I can't believe I've waited so long to see the show!" "Thanks Kristin. So...um...how have you been?" This was so awkward. The woman she'd been thinking of for the past few days suddenly appeared at the theatre to see her perform. This could only be fate.
"I'm good. But you know I've missed you. I wanted to see my old friend again."
Idina noticed the change in Kristin's voice and how her eyes turned a little sadder at the words 'old friend'. Both of them knew they were more than just old friends.
"Do you wanna come in?," Idina offered. "I mean I don't have much time but I can call Aaron and tell him that it's going to be a bit later."
"Oh...no...I don't want you to be late," Kristin replied, not knowing who this Aaron guy was.
The situation was just really awkward for both of them.
"I'd love to catch up with you though," Idina said a little bit too fast. "I'm off tomorrow, so we could meet for a coffee maybe? "
Kristin's heart skipped a beat. She smiled. "I'd love that." "Well, see you tomorrow then! " "Yep, bye Idina." "Bye Kris." They hugged and both of their worlds seemed to stand still for a second. Both of them knew that this was the place they belonged in even though they had just met again. When Kristin left the theatre she couldn't help but grin widely because Idina had just called her 'Kris' and hadn't even noticed it. Then she thought that this could be the beginning of something very beautiful.
