-Ross-

Laura and I have been sitting on this bench for the past 2 hours, thinking of lyrics, and we have actually gotten half of song written out. We put our thoughts and feelings into this song, we're not sure on what to call it yet, but, we hope it'll be really good.

"Well, it's getting late. I should probably head home now" she looked at me, pondering something, I stayed still, keeping my eyes on her, wondering what she was thinking.

"You can stay if you like, I don't mind" I nodded understanding how she must feel.

"I promise I will definitely come back, I don't want your dad to think anything. He is already cautious of me" she nodded understanding what I meant. I stood up, and stepped away from the music bench and looked out of the windows, she had photo frames filled with photos of her and the her parents. She looked happy, she smiling and she didn't have a hoodie in the pictures.

"Laura, when were these photos taken?" She got up off the bench, placing her hands back into her hoodie pockets and walked over the window to stand by me. She didn't say anything at first, I think she was re-calling the memories within the frames. So, I stayed quite silently watching her and focusing back onto the photos.

Ironically Laura was holding her music book in her hands in one of the photos.

"How long have you been writing for?" She looked at me, uncertain on whether or not to answer.

"Since I was 7 I think, that's when my mum bought me the book, because I had sheets of paper scattered all over my room, and they were all filled with randomly, badly written songs. But she could see potential in the attempts and then told me to start writing in the book she bought me for a birthday once" I looked at the book in the picture, it wasn't the same as the one she has now though.

"Where is it?" She walked over to a book shelf, it had all sorts on it, vinls, cassettes, CD's and books.

"It's here, along with my others" she was building a collection and that was pretty impressive.

"Not one page is empty of lyrics, almost every line had a words from a song I came up with"

Laura ended up shouting her dad and telling him it was too late for Ross to home, it was by like 6 or 7 at night and my home was in the opposite direction, I'd have to walk back to the school and then walk past it for 10 mins to get back to my house. At this time of night, that wasn't happening.

They only agreed to let me stay as long as it was either on the couch or the guest room, Laura felt more comfortable having me to sleep in the guest room which was like 1 door away from hers, I could understand that. It wasn't a bad thing.

Her parents ended up ordering pizza and got all cheese pizzas, one between them and one between Laura & I. It was delicious.

After pizza, we continued on in the music room, attempting to finish the song. But by the time we got the last line of the song it was 11 at night. It was late. Time flew in.

"Well, I'm gonna head to bed, you know where the guest room is, you can either stay in here and play or get some sleep too. I'll see you in the morning Ross" I smiled back at her and said goodnight. She closed the door behind her and went off to her bed.

I think Laura and I are gonna be great friends.
