It's been a few weeks since the discussion between Laura's parents and my mother about a little trip around America and a pass by the Grand Canyon.

I had a little surprise announcement from Laura, that her parents gave her their credit card and they are ordering, literally ordering me and my mum to go shopping for this trip and to not go light on the prices. I am really shocked to be honest, from when I told my mum about the whole ordeal, she isn't didn't feel right about doing it. But, I did say they told us and they wanted us to do it.

She hesitated, but agreed eventually.

I looked at my phone to see Laura is phoning me, I quickly answer.

"Yello, sup Laura?" I say with a smile.

"I'm coming to pick you and your mum up, we are all going shopping, I need to get some more black hoodies, I might go for a red or purple one too, break the whole trend thing I have, you know?" I chuckle lightly knowing what she did mean by it.

"Okay, that's sounds pretty good. When you thinking about coming over?" She giggles.

"Silly, why do you think I phoned you. I'm in the car on my way over, and from when my dad picked your mum up, you know it won't take me long, I'm the same kind of driver as him. I don't waste time" I nod, realising she can't see me.

"Okay, sounds good. The front door will be unlocked in that case, on the shear side that we aren't ready by the time you get here, help yourself to whatever in the kitchen whilst you wait too" I say without taking a single breath. Laura laughs at me.

"No worries, talk soon" Laura then hangs up. I go into the living-room to let my mum know of the recent news.

"Mum, get yourself ready, Laura is coming to pick us up to take us shopping. Off you go!" She just smiles at me whilst trotting past me upstairs to get something else on to go out in.

I followed her, knowing I needed a change of clothing, was I hell going out in this load of mess, I had a simple t-shirt on, jammy bottoms on with fluffy socks. I raced upstairs and grabbed another t-shirt, one with a quote that stated 'Good things come to those who wait' and grabbed my checked shirt. I grabbed my 3/4 length combats from my drawers whilst grabbing fresh boxers and fresh socks, I had maybe 7 minutes before Laura got here to pick me and mum up for holiday shopping.

I realised I haven't showered, so I reluctantly grab my deodorant from the top shelf and spray until I can't spray no more.

Yes, I will have to get more.

Luckily, this one isn't too heavy so it wasn't an overpowering smell.

No, I am not trying to impress Laura.

"Hey guys, I'm downstairs in the kitchen. Grabbing a water and a biscuit" Speak of the devil.

I open my bedroom door lightly, shouting down to her.

"We'll be down in a few, make yourself at home"

"Don't mind if I do" I hear her giggle whilst plopping herself on the couch. I smile whilst continuing to get ready for the day out.

"Ross, how long are you going to be, your not a girl" I laugh at her comment, running downstairs to meet her in the living-room.

"Finally, I was starting to wonder if the bedroom ate you up" I chuckle whilst engulfing her into a hug.
