I could hear a gentle kick of music playing, I wasn't sure where it was coming from because I momentarily forgot where I was, my bearings were off. I open my eyes, I'm in a room I don't recognise, a smell that isn't familiar. I stretch within the bed I slept in and sit up quickly, realising I'm not in my bed, but I'm the guest room of Laura's parents room, for the life of me for a split second I couldn't remember how I got here, but then it hits me. Laura brought me here last night to meet her parents, then she & I wrote some music and played some instruments. It was fun.

I throw the covers off my body, and quickly get my clothes on, not before rummaging through my backpack for deodorant and making myself at least smell a little better for the day, because I do usually take a shower in the morning.

I exit the room walking towards the music room to find Laura sitting at the piano, she is in her classic trade-mark red hoodie, I smile knowing I'm starting to really like that look on here, even though I do get the feeling she will always look like that, like, I won't get her to stop. Who's know.

I open the door and go to sit next to Laura when she jumps from being startled, she looks at me slightly shocked, but immediately smiles and shoves a piece of paper into my hand, I smile back and look at the paper, the lyrics on the sheet are amazing, she was smiling from ear to ear. I loved this smile, my mind just made mental notes on how to get her to smile, and clearly. Laura writing her own lyrics makes her feel good.

"Laura, these lyrics are amazing, when did you write them" she just shrugged and turned away, mentally slapping my face, almost had a reply. Guess not.

"Last night about an hour after I left you, the lyrics just came to me and I had to write them down and I just thought I would show you them when I woke up, so as soon as I got up, I got myself into the shower and got dressed, that's when I came in here and thought I'd wait for you" I nodded taking a seat next to her, holding the sheet of paper in my hands and re-reading the words over and over again.

"Any melodies for them yet?" She shakes her head and gets up from the seat and goes back to the bookshelf and takes her books down, she opens them and reads through each one swiftly before putting each one back.

"I thought, I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to, but if you would like to, you could help me with it?" I was genuinely shocked.

"Laura, I'd love to"
