She smiles at me, it gives me great pleasure to know I can put that kind of smile onto this girls face.

"Great, I'm going to get my stuff together, do you maybe want to go the movies or something?" I thought about it, obviously.

"Of course, do you know what's out?" She shook her head, shrugged her shoulders.

"Nah, but we can maybe choose together when we get there" I nodded and let her to her own devices so she could get what she needed. I headed downstairs to get something to eat, but I collided with Laura's mother, who was smiling from ear to ear like a treasured cat.

"So, Ross. What is your intentions with our daughter?" I was honestly caught off guard, her father stood behind Mrs Marano, arms crossed and looking straight at me as if to be waiting for a correct answer.

"Right now, I am just wanting to be her friend, I have no intention in moving in on her unless something happens naturely, not against nature itself" her mother just smiled, leaned back and spoke to Mr Marano.

"This one is different, that's the first time those words have been put into a sentence regarding our daughter" he nods his head agreeing with her.

"So your not with, sorry, friends with our daughter the music industry" I shake my head in response.

"I, up until yesterday walking up those stairs and into that music, didn't know about your record label, and I was friends with Laura for weeks and weeks before all of this came around" they both nodded and welcomed me to the kitchen table for some pancakes or scrambled egg and toast if I choose to eat either. I of course, took 2 pancakes and a ladle of scrambled eggs and 2 slices of toast.

Eating the scrambled eggs, I was taking back to when my mother made then a few days ago. Delicious.

"Mum, dad!" They looked up to their daughter as did I.

"What's up?" She shook her head, she could sense in the room that there was a conversation had before she came down.

"Why did you interrogate him, I don't bring anyone here anymore because of what happened, Ross is different, hence the reason he is sitting in that chair" they both nodded agreeing with her.

"Yes, that may be true. But us as your parents just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else involved" Laura nods and sits down next to me. Both her hands land on the table, in fists.

She seems stressed, so I gently place my right hand on top of hers and she seems to losen her structure a little bit.

"You okay?" I mouthed to her, she just nods and smiles back at me.

A few hours later, after finishing off the breakfast and being interviewed more about myself with Laura we got ourselves ready.

I grabbed my backpack, said my goodbyes to Laura's parents and waited for her at the front door, Laura vastly ran downstairs and said good bye to her parents and grabbed my arm and walked out the door, I grab the door handle and it accidentally slammed shut.

Getting into a car on the side road, I stared at Laura. She looked back at me, her expression was like she was 'what's he looking at me like that for?' Kinda look.

"You have a car?" Granted, yes. It was a mini, but I thought Laura was a 24/7 walker. She nodded getting into the drivers seat.

"The thing is Ross, I don't drive this during the week because I don't chance other students seeing me, if you haven't noticed, this is the latest model and my parents just got me it a little while ago. I don't want other students to see me and suddenly start being my friend, just for them to expect me to give them a ride" I nodded acknowledging her reason.

"That's very fair. Insurance must be easy for you then" she shakes her head.

"See... the thing is, my parents are my parents... the only thing I have control over is my bedroom and the way I dress and what I do at the weekend, my parents have control over everything else" I nodded again.

"I understand" she nods turning on the engine.

"Let's head to town for that movie, shall we?"
