Hey, I am sorry to tell you there are only 3 or 4 more chapters left plus an epilogue. There are going to be six books in the series so enjoy.

Three moons had passed since Flamepaw's death. Ravenstar no longer visited Lightningpaw in her dreams.

It had been a sad three moons. Snaketail had died of Greencough. Lionstripe hadn't spoken a word since her death, and now he was always hunting. It had been hard on the sisters. Skypaw had taken it the worst. Only because Lightningpaw had been away for a moon and had a Shadowclan family. Airblaze and Lionbreeze had always talked to Lightningpaw at Gatherings.

Lightningpaw always offered to patrol or hunt on the Shadowclan border. She always hoped she would see her friends.

Lightningpaw had heard at the last Gathering Lilypaw and Flowerpaw had got their warrior names. They were now Lilyblossom and Flowerpetal.

Lightningpaw missed some things about Shadowclan. She missed the taste of frogs. She missed Snowkit and Goosekit, but luckily she still got to play with Flamekit, Falconkit, and, her favorite, Mistkit. They were a little older than four moons now.

Lightningpaw was in camp. She was sharing a mouse with Brownpaw. "So, I hear your getting your warrior name today," mewed Lightningpaw with in bites of mouse.

"Yeah, what do you think it will be?" Brownpaw asked nervously.

"Let's make this interesting. If I am right, you have to clean out my nest for a moon," mewed Lightningpaw competitively.

"Ok, and if I am right you have to clean out my nest for a moon," smirked Brownpaw.

"Ok, let's think for a moment," mewed Lightningpaw as she stared at Brownpaw. Ok, she told herself. Let's see he has a light brown pelt with dark brown paws. Um, a big bushy tail, and brown eyes.

"I think I will be called Brownfoot," mewed Brownpaw.

"Ok, what about Brownheart?" Lightningpaw asked.

"Let's just wait and see," mewed Brownpaw.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather before Highledge!" yowled Honeystar. Brownpaw, Leopardpaw, and Willowpaw all had there pelts groomed, and their eyes open wide. "I have watched each of these young apprentices train, and they are ready to become warriors," mewed Honeystar proudly. These were Honeystar's kits. The father remained unknown, but these were Honeystar's kits. "I call down on my warrior ancestors to watch over and protect these new warriors. Do you all promise to protect the warrior code even if it costs you your life?" Honeystar asked. "I do!" yowled Brownpaw followed by his sisters. "Spottedpelt, is Brownpaw ready to receive his warrior name?" asked Honeystar from Highledge.

"He was always ready," yowled Spottedpelt.

     "Fernwhisker, is Willowpaw?"

     Fernwhisker smiled, "She is."

Honeystar turned to Silentstep. "And Leopardpaw?"

     Silentstep yowled, "She is."

Honeystar smiled. "Then from this day forth, Brownpaw you shall be known as Browntail in honor of your bushy tail. Thunderclan honors your ideas and heart. Willowpaw from this day forth you shall be known as Willowfall. Thunderclan honors your courage and loyalty. Leopardpaw for this day forth you shall be known as Leopardheart. Thunderclan honors your honesty and strength. That is all," yowled Honeystar.

"Looks as if we're both wrong," mewed Lightningpaw knowing she wouldn't get an answer because of the silent vigil.

Lightningpaw walked over to Willowfall and Leopardheart. "Congrats," mewed Lightningpaw.

"Goodbye, Lightningpaw. Clan life isn't for us. We leave tonight when we are guarding the camp. You were a good friend. From now on we are Willow and Leopard," cried Willowfall as she walked towards the camp entrance with her sister.

Lightningpaw was shocked, but what could she do?

"Lightningpaw, how's it going," asked Lizardleaf. Lizardleaf was Snaketail's sister.

     "Ok, I guess."

Lizardleaf sat down next to Lightningpaw. "I miss her, too. We all miss her," mewed Lizardleaf.

"I am tired. See you tomorrow," mewed Lightningpaw. As soon as Lizardleaf was out of sight Lightningpaw went to the entrance of camp. She hid in a bush, so Willow and Leopard wouldn't see her.

It was now moonhigh and Willow and Leopard walked over to Browntail. "Goodbye, brother. Clan life isn't for us," mewed the cat that was once Leopardheart.

Browntail didn't break the warrior code. He remained silent.

That is when Lightningpaw spoke. She emerged out of the bushes and asked, "Why?"

Willow turned to face her friend. "You should know better than anyone. You can't choose your fate, falcon-slayer."

Leopard and Willow ran off. It hurt Browntail, but he remained silent and guarded the camp with Lightningpaw's help.
